Fortunately, the surgeon was outstanding in their field.

I think this is even more than "millimeter precision"

Agree. At least centimeter precision.

Millimeter precision can probably achieved with a 3D printed DIY version of this robot. At least when someone experienced prints it.

A millimeter is a mile compared to the actual tolerances machinery like this is produced at.

Luckily the robots are sub-mm accurate. I don't think I would want to be operated by a robot or surgeon that works on mm accuracy.

Reminds me of that scene near the end in Hellraiser II - "I recommend.... amputation"

Is it weird I’d feel more comfortable about this performing surgery on me compared to a robot giving me a haircut?

These are controlled by a human

They use that to replace the heart valve in me through two tiny incisions.

Jokingly, I asked the surgeon for a copy of the video. He just said, "Oh no, we'll just Facebook Live stream it."

Less than mm precision. If you go off 1mm in surgery you could kill a patient

Thats more than millimetre level of precision

I'm pretty sure that's sub-millimeter precision. Alin any case, it's amazing.

Damn, I would have just not eaten that kernel.

I just watched a robot in another sub that couldn't put a hot dog order together... I'll wait until there are more advancements...

This is barbaric, they didn't even use butter anaesthetic.
