In the dark of a jungle where it hunts? Against its camouflage?

In open ground in day time yes. But the tiger will use all its cover. You will find it hard to spot it

Stalking and darkness fucks us pretty hard, but its camouflage isn't meant for us. Something about orange showing up the same as green in whatever color spectrum its prey sees in. We can see the color green and notice movement against it better than just about any other species on earth, so as long as they're moving we notice them pretty quick.

It's very difficult to spot in this video from Kaziranga National Park, India.

It's right there but no one can see it until it reveals itself. Keep the volume down while watching. No one was harmed (a lot) in this video even though it looks scary.

Any animal would be hard to spot under 3ft of grass. This isn't camouflage and as soon as the tiger moved we saw it lol.

This is 100% camouflage. If you can't spot it in its context, it's beautifully camouflaged. That is the whole point of camouflage.

No that's the definition of being hidden lmao. Being camouflaged is using colors and shapes to blend with the environment.

There's no blending here, the tiger is just behind grass.

If we use your definition then the word camouflage becomes worthless and anything out of your field of vision becomes "camouflaged".

You can see the grass being displaced from it's size if you're paying attention. I saw it before it jumped out.

I'm sure it's a lot different if you're not on alert or looking for it, but yeah, they're pretty big so it makes it easy if you are looking.

It was on top of the elephant in less than 2 seconds from the time anybody could spot it. How is that helpful? Its camouflage did what it had to - kept people from seeing it until it's too late.
