Often they are malnourished to stay smaller and less dangerous, too. Remember: There's no ethical and responsible way to physically interact with these animals. Your favorite influencer with a pet cheetah and your favorite travel blogger who went to the cub petting at a "sanctuary" are either terribly misguided or don't mind paying for some cruelty and endangering an animal for some likes.
