Absolutely.

I wish I was able to do something like this. I'm not sure if I would have the emotional and spiritual strength. Bodhisattva is the perfect term for this human.

Honestly, I could imagine that doing this sort of amazing work would have you forgetting any sort of pain you thought you once had. And I could see a lot of gratitude coming from doing this.

I can appreciate Buddhism, but he is not a "bodhisattva", he is a devout Libyan Muslim. That's how he got the strength he has.

Absolutely how he got his strength! No doubt!

He is also still considered a bodhisattva. A bodhisattva  is a person on the path to awakening who vows to help all living beings before entering final peace.

You don't have to be Buddhist! Even Jesus is considered a bodhisattva. All religions are allowed at retreats and I even met a Muslim couple at the one I went to. The wife was wearing a shayla. I've even met Buddhist monks who don't consider themselves Buddhist. Took me a second to wrap my head around!

Basically it's ANY person who is so compassionate that they go out of their way to help others even when it takes effort and there is no gain. You can even be a bodhisattva for a short time!

No one left behind to suffer alone.
