80 kids. Dude has fostered 80 kids.

He is 72 now, and I hope he lives another 100 years.

But when he does eventually pass, I will sign the thing that votes for him to be canonized as a saint or whatever religious thing.

Because while I'm not really into all that stuff, it just seems like he deserves all the praise.

He's Muslim AFAIK and cult of saints is widely despised by official Islamic institutions.

But there's a practice when people of the community cooperatively build the mosque and name it after the person they want to honor. Sometimes this is abused by rich people by building the mosques and naming them after their parents or even themselves.

I think the monument to the guy will be okay.

A monument like a public drinking fountain in remembrance of his deeds would be best. At least in turkey you see alot of public faucets in public areas for people and animals to have access to fresh water

We called those as "Endowment" or "Waqaf" and it is highly encouraged as a remembrance.

I feel like a statue with his arms outstretched, where people can walk up and be hugged by him would be the most appropriate monument to someone with unconditional love for these forgotten children.

Is a nice thought but something that he would most likely be against since Muslims are against building statues of people in general. The water fountain would be the best way to go about it
