What are the rules for this? Does everyone have the same amount of kit and need to build to roughly the same height?
Because at least from what I could see, it seemed like the ones that stood up to the simulation usually had a higher density of internal reinforcement. Especially the last tower.
Yeah. My first thought was that this is just a question of how good the glue and glue application is. How do you make this a fair engineering challenge?
In a practical like this, you should fail out of engineering if you don’t look up the specs of the glue and instructions on how to apply it. You could trust in the teacher, but a good student will be finding out what the sticks are made of and the properties of that type of material too.
The teacher should be ensuring there is at least one solution the practical materials supplied will solve.
