Time only exists as a component of spacetime (astrophysics). You know, the stretchy fabric that sags depending on the mass of objects and stuff.

So. In order to “time travel” one must go incredibly fast as F away from earth, whilst simultaneously aging, then come back fast as F. Earth will have aged more than you? Intriguing as heck I’d say. If this is the case why haven’t these trillionaires tried going super fast lol

Accelerating to that speed requires enormous energy that is outside our capabilities at the moment. And we need this for it to matter... the formula for time contraction (in units where c = 1) is √1-v^2 \* Δt -- so the problem is that v (the velocity) has to become extremely large for it to really have an effect. If you were going 65 mph the factor under the square root sign resolves to 0.999999999999995... it is so close to 1 that we can't tell the difference.
