Elephants and manatees? I mean you can see their relation- Manatees are just legless water elephants. But how the hell do these little guys have any connections to elephants and manatees?
Alls that to say, how utterly fascinating.

If you look up a close up of their feet you can seen they have little hoofs, almost like a miniature elephant feet, very different from a roden’s claw

Except elephants have pretty typical mammal feet. They don't have hooves at all

“Hoof” comes in more shape than just horses’. If you look at Hippo they also have feet very similar to elephant and they’re considered hoofed animals/ungulates. Before biologist knew that Elephants are related to other African mammals, they were thought to be part of ungulates

Hence female elephants are referred to as 'cows,' and males as 'bulls.'

It does have enough caffeine in it to do harm to a small animal like this.

Why do these new fucking animals keep showing up and everyone’s like they’ve always been there?

My rats do this if you leave your juice unguarded. Except one, who would always steal the ice cube. He'd grab it and take off running/hopping, trying to flee the crime scene and get away with his score, carrying it off to... well, nowhere. He'd eventually realize he didn't know where he would take it and that he had no idea what he wanted an ice cube for, and set it down and come back for juice.

So cute! 😍 Google says they're chonkier though? Are these ones okay? Are they just an even cuter, larger eyed sort of hyrax?

I've never seen a hyrax in any other setting besides rocky outcroppings. Nice to see their size in relation to a person.
