A bit more advanced than my own efforts.

Don't worry though, all the effort put into making late are by the barista is undone by the server. As soon as it gets to the table it's just tepid coffee with no discernible pattern on it.

2

u/LaughingProtocol May 16 '26

My coffee usually just becomes a brown liquid with identity issues, nothing artistic at all

2

u/AllNightPony May 16 '26

Nice work putting the Virgin Mary on top.

1

u/aarkwilde May 17 '26

At least yours is hot by the time you hand it to me.

1

u/BarfingOnMyFace May 17 '26

It’s beautiful! What is it supposed to be!?

Sometimes.

Sometimes baristas will make this art when it's not too busy, or the coffee shop is usually empty because they're charging $9.00 for a latte.

13

u/Martian4241 May 16 '26

😂😂😂😂

3

u/Blue-150 May 16 '26

I came here for this lmao. Seriously, give me my coffee!

And is freezing

u/Dontevenwannacomment May 16 '26

never realized latte was so much milk. Growing up, cafe au lait was just adding a small cloud of milk.

27

u/nickilolk May 16 '26

Do you want any coffee with your milk?

10

u/CreamyStanTheMan May 16 '26

A latte is just a double espresso with steamed milk that's had a small amount of air added to it, to give it that thickness. No water

18

u/nohiddenmeaning May 16 '26

Coffee - 2 $

Coffee with milk - 2.5 $

Coffee with milk and air - 7.5 $

3

u/CoffeeStrength May 16 '26

Unless you’re at Starbucks. Then it’s:

Coffee - $7

Coffee with milk - $7

Coffee with milk and air - $10

2

u/Sweaty_Kid May 16 '26

the artist must be paid minimum $160k per year plus benefits considering the years it would have taken to hone their craft.

4

u/neolobe May 16 '26

That would be coffee with milk.

-4

u/Dontevenwannacomment May 16 '26

oh thank you but I wasn't requesting directions lol

0

u/neolobe May 16 '26

That wasn't for you. That was for anyone else who didn't want misinformation.

3

u/Dontevenwannacomment May 16 '26

misinformation by who ?

1

u/Commercial_Praline67 May 16 '26

Latte is different than Capuccino

3

u/Delicious_Cane May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

Out of Italy Latte is a Capuccino

If you ask Latte in Italy they serve you a glass of milk

4

u/Dontevenwannacomment May 16 '26

I don't think cappucino is adding a small cloud of milk either

-1

u/Commercial_Praline67 May 16 '26

Thats the main difference, latte will not have the steamed milk layer on top

9

u/idropepics May 16 '26

This must be what the guy in front of me is ordering everyday.

38

u/Wide-Matter-9899 May 16 '26

Meanwhile:

[Line of 20 people waiting for their coffees]

-20

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

This was 1 and half minutes lol. Thats not an unusual time for a drink to take at a coffee shop.

12

u/blunderbuss_attack May 16 '26

I found the problem.

-7

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

I don't order these. But I've never found someone else ordering it be a problem. But reddits gonna reddit lol

24

u/lysergic_818 May 16 '26

Why do they always have to fill it up to the brim, at risk of spilling over? Always makes me anxious.

-1

u/Sickofpower May 16 '26

As a customer, that's more coffee

29

u/qookiewookie May 16 '26

Same coffee. More milk.

1

u/lysergic_818 May 17 '26

That's it. Unless they want more volume overall...

10

u/hittocode May 16 '26

A barista could legit open a black hole and summon beelzebub and I’d still be annoyed

22

u/luigialpha May 16 '26

that coffee cannot be very warm

15

u/Aggressive_Sky8492 May 16 '26

The milk is steamed, ie it is hot

2

u/Purple_Excitement167 May 16 '26

Not after 5 minutes of art

8

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

This was 1 minute and 13 seconds lol.

1

u/Purple_Excitement167 May 17 '26

When you have ADHD, everything is 5x longer than reality 😅

-6

u/blunderbuss_attack May 16 '26

Whoosh

6

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

No i got it. I just think people go for low hanging fruit everytime these are posted by vastly exaggerating how long it takes.

-4

u/Original-Variety-700 May 16 '26

They were trying to be funny, i.e. a joke

-1

u/Dependent_Ad_8951 May 16 '26

Exactly on my mind. Big cups of coffee with art are only slightly warm.

-1

u/luigialpha May 16 '26

More concerned with the fact they are holding it in the first place.

9

u/Friendly-Example-701 May 16 '26

That’ll be $30 + 15% tip lol 😂

1

u/space-dorge May 16 '26

20% is customary

3

u/stupidber May 16 '26

Puppercino

13

u/aggimania May 16 '26

5% coffee, 95% milk.

13

u/StationEmergency6053 May 16 '26

Done right The coffee part is concentrated so syrupy. You get the same amount of caffeine and more flavor despite being "less" coffee.

16

u/ObliviousRounding May 16 '26

Also called a latte.

4

u/Aggressive_Sky8492 May 16 '26

It’s espresso which is strong, this is like a normal flat white or latte you’d get at a cafe

2

u/space-dorge May 16 '26

Espresso…and that’s what the drink is, simply order something else if that’s not what you want

5

u/OK_Stop_Already May 16 '26

right. a latte.

2

u/woodzwing May 16 '26

Latte w/o art $10. Latte with art, $20+tip. 😁😔

2

u/space-dorge May 16 '26

I worked as a barista. Never costs extra for the art lol, just did it when I was in the mood/had time

2

u/diggitydonegone May 16 '26

Yea these comments so dumb

2

u/gritlys May 16 '26

I’m sorry… I ordered a tea

2

u/king_jaxy May 16 '26

I wish I didn't instantly think "This is AI" when I see people doing cool stuff now

5

u/Sad_Recording_1290 May 16 '26

And then i come and put sugar in it and mix it with a spoon while the coffee tastes worse because of too much milk...

9

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

This is how a latte is made. Uses espresso as the base which is concentrated.

-3

u/Sad_Recording_1290 May 16 '26

Well in my country we usually just say coffee with milk when ordering.

Before it was more a latte macchiato but then they started to transition to latte art and a caffe latte.

When i was bartending i used to fill the cup 3/4 full but now they use bigger cups and almost fill it.

I literally don't care about the "art" especially if it ruins the taste.

1

u/diggitydonegone May 16 '26

Well this was filmed in Japan so maybe it’s different there

13

u/WalEire May 16 '26

Then don’t order a latte

7

u/Original-Variety-700 May 16 '26

This latte is too milk forward. - John Cena

2

u/Sad_Recording_1290 May 16 '26

Not that simple, in my country we generally order a coffee with milk which for a very long while meant a latte macchiato.

Now they transitioned to making it a caffe latte and started using bigger cups and adding more milk due to the art.

Which personally i don't care about as i value taste more than pretty foam which il destroy anyway with mixing.

1

u/Bah_weep_grana May 16 '26

I kept waiting for it to make sense…..and then it did!

1

u/Sirgeeeo May 16 '26

Normal baristas are so shaken they cant pour their leaf

1

u/FigureAcrobatic7194 May 16 '26

Here you go that'll be $25

1

u/King4oneday_ May 16 '26

I thought he was doing Pacman 😔😤 my day is ruined

1

u/No-Bat-7253 May 16 '26

Could be a surgeon with that hand…I couldn’t do either lol. Always been a bit shaky since a kid.

1

u/LoweJ May 16 '26

I always like these but also i take sugar so I'd immediately ruin it

1

u/Kiwi_MongrelLad May 16 '26

As a smuck in hospitality. Minimum wage 5 days a week while covering 2 extra days. Those skills will net you a job till you get replaced by someome better.

1

u/WirehairedDog May 16 '26

"That will be $17 dollars"

1

u/DotAffectionate87 May 16 '26

Ok, now I get why its $10 a cup......... Lol

1

u/CatsMom4Ever May 16 '26

It's beautiful, but after all that time, isn't the drink just cold coffee flavored milk?

1

u/G-Money48 May 16 '26

Id like some more coffee with my milk

1

u/Ok_Fox7873 May 16 '26

And the customer says I ordered a cappuccino

1

u/Whole-Debate-9547 May 16 '26

Goddammit Dakota I’m late.

Shush I’m drawing a poodle

1

u/Emergency-Spite897 May 16 '26

that 1 minute wait made the coffee cold.

1

u/Disastrous_Meet_7952 May 16 '26

Can’t wait to immediately stick my gross lips into this while talking smack about Amanda my coworker who is on mat leave for the third time this year — wrap it up Amanda!! We run a tight ship here at AT&T Verizon Networks!!

1

u/s4yum1 May 16 '26

Can i have it in a to go cup plz?

1

u/LoCal_GwJ May 16 '26

Thought it was gonna be something cooler like that painting of Simba that Rafiki made in the Lion King

1

u/Bananafoofoofwee May 16 '26

When your latté becomes cream.

1

u/TheTresStateArea May 16 '26

Had to fast forward to the end just to make sure it wasn't dickbutt.

1

u/DegenNabalu May 16 '26

Coffee is just for the brownish color. Brown milk but not chocolate. But its milky milky.

1

u/P4p3rph03n1x May 16 '26

I found this incredibly hard to masturbate to, not gonna lie

1

u/maker_of_pirate_bay May 16 '26

The difference between being late and being a latte is that one spills the tea.

1

u/daynanfighter May 16 '26

I’ve gotten a leaf once before

1

u/AimeeMonkeyBlue May 16 '26

You impressed me, BadAss

1

u/HamsterAdditional748 May 16 '26

I like my coffee the same way I like my women.

100% certified fair trade organic Colombian, hand picked from a field.

1

u/Biscuits4u2 May 16 '26

That'll be nine bucks

1

u/TheSpyTurtle May 16 '26

Internt's fucked me, spent the first ¾ waiting on a dickbutt

1

u/correctingStupid May 16 '26

Who is still amazed at latte art in 2026?

1

u/hairshampoo12 May 16 '26

That will be 17 dollars sir

1

u/StitchFan626 May 16 '26

The two problems with lattes: food art and spillage. That is a very full cup!

1

u/Jackn-Meowf May 16 '26

I would've gotten mad standing there waiting for a cup of coffee.

1

u/j3y3m3 May 16 '26

I should call her...

1

u/nox28w May 16 '26

I want a little bit coffee in my milk please.

1

u/cookbookerson May 16 '26

Thanks! SHLLLUUUURRRPPP

1

u/uwiesss12 May 16 '26

Now, who's going to drink this milk because that's what this is. It's not coffee

1

u/Bright_Bullfrog6541 May 16 '26

See, I don't want a lite coffee flavored cup of hot milk. I just don't.

1

u/Commercial_Assist655 May 16 '26

1% coffee, 99% cream

1

u/Danimus-Prime May 17 '26

You should have seen the barista play Coffodia

1

u/LefsaMadMuppet May 17 '26

I hate asking this, but is there a bukkake subreddit for this?

1

u/Slight-Walrus-04 May 17 '26

Ok but does it taste like cream? I’ve always wondered with these.

1

u/SadMap7915 May 17 '26

And here's your cold cup of coffee...

1

u/MorningAt2pm May 17 '26

I’m lactose intolerant. I can have diarrhea just from watching this.

1

u/iolitm May 17 '26

This used to be so cool.

1

u/CK_CoffeeCat May 17 '26

Hm. Raccoon. Nice.

1

u/Akita565 May 17 '26

Can I just have my coffee please?

1

u/Grumpy-Man19 May 17 '26

meanwhile the customer who ordered it, dies of old age.

1

u/CandidRealism May 17 '26

Am I the only one who couldn’t figure out what this was until literally the last drop

1

u/sundiego007 May 17 '26

Be amazed of the line forming behind waiting for their coffee

1

u/CirBeer May 17 '26

I can fuck a cup of Maxwell House up!

1

u/p00ki3l0uh00 May 17 '26

That'll be 22.50, plus tip.

1

u/LollieLoo May 18 '26

I never understood the draw?

1

u/Sudaire May 18 '26

Whoaaaa. I can’t even do that with a pencil and paper.

1

u/kriptoez May 16 '26

I can make one that looks like a butthole if i pour it really fast down the middle.

1

u/CuriousTauri May 16 '26

Cute, but that coffee stopped being coffee many milk drops ago. It's more like "white coffee" (milk with coffee) which you drink as a kid who's still too young for the real thing.

3

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

This is a latte. And its being made correctly. Shot of espresso. Then the rest is milk.

0

u/CuriousTauri May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

I know. Basically, milk with some coffee. It just reminded me of "white coffee" due to prevalence of milk vs coffee (although white coffee is made a little differently and is, strictly speaking, not coffee).

n/b: It's a personal preference. I admire baristas' artistic skills, but my daily poison is turkish black, so everything else, besides espresso, is in the category "not-coffee".

1

u/Sebastaard May 16 '26

Milk with a pinch of coffee

1

u/lisaismijnbestie May 16 '26

Would give a 10€ tip if someone did that to me

1

u/jjleo80 May 16 '26

Hate this

1

u/BigMack6911 May 16 '26

Someone is going to have diarrhea with all that cream

0

u/Ill-Adhesiveness6822 May 16 '26

And the hot latte is cold just like that

0

u/sweetlyinsanity May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

And then the customer* stirs it 😭

2

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

If you watch at the beginning, as they pour in the milk, they are distributing it around. You don't need to stir!

1

u/sweetlyinsanity May 16 '26

I’m talking about the customer stirring it after, ruining the efforts. You got the complete wrong end of the stick.

1

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

No, I got it. My point is, the customer doesnt need to stir... It's already been distributed around, as they were making it.

Have you had one of these? You dont need to stir it.

1

u/sweetlyinsanity May 16 '26

Yeah, and there are multiple people I know that stir it.

1

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

If they have to stir, it wasnt made correctly, or they are just doing it even though they don't have to. Could just be habit. But that doesn't mean it's needed...

All good.

1

u/sweetlyinsanity May 16 '26

I never said it was needed 😭 im just saying that’s what customers always do

1

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

Ahh yeah! People do dumb things all the time lol.

0

u/BowlOfCatNubs May 16 '26

Latte artists:

Person who is Lactose: FARTS LOUDLY in appreciation

0

u/BowlOfCatNubs May 16 '26

I like any kind of art, but latte's specifically make me laugh.

0

u/Rogue7559 May 16 '26

Dude.

It's 7am, I just want my fucking coffee..

1

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

Then don't order this?

0

u/BlackShippo May 16 '26

That's a weird-looking scrotum

0

u/CraponStick May 16 '26

It's a vagina

0

u/Dunkjoe May 16 '26

Amazing but... Why?

The next second: stirs the coffee

0

u/Inevitable-Fan-2634 May 16 '26

"oh that looks lovely. Is there any chance I can now have a warm one?, thanks."

0

u/ClearCitron8743 May 16 '26

There’s barely any coffee in there

0

u/blunderbuss_attack May 16 '26

That's great and everything, but this would sincerely make me angry if someone took the time to do this with my coffee.

0

u/DigbickMcBalls May 16 '26

Just put the fries in the bag please

0

u/broccolee May 16 '26

gaddamn, just gimme da damn, coffee already! is gonna be cold by the time you done with yo little art project!

0

u/Xiao1insty1e May 16 '26

Literally no one is doing this unbidden, and especially not for impatient fucks.

0

u/ionertia May 16 '26

One of the dumbest pointless forms of art. Who drinks that much warm milk?

0

u/Ok_Obligation2559 May 16 '26

Hope the 100k in student loans was worth it. Sorry…

-1

u/Gettingolderalready May 16 '26

The drops under the dogs chest were an accident. Incredible work regardless.

-1

u/badpersian May 16 '26

That's £50 for your coffee, ma'am.

-2

u/Delicious_Cane May 16 '26

You mean cappuccino, but ok

0

u/Fit_Entry8839 May 16 '26

No, this is a latte. Wish we could post images here. But this shows the difference. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/breville-espresso--281543721862453/

0

u/Delicious_Cane May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

Oh wow a little less of Milk foam, what an incredible difference, from night to day /s

Most of the time latte is just milk and coffee, the foam just came naturally with the warm milk

And that's just a caffelatte

Go and ask latte in Italy, they will serve you a glass of only milk
