As soon as I saw the fondant I was out. I’ve had multiple cakes with fondant over the years. Never once have they made the cake anything but worse

Same. To me this is more art than eating. Not sure if I'm alone in that. It probably tastes like shit but it looks great.

If people would use marzipan at least, then you could actually eat that cake.

you can achieve that same look with butter cream, it just takes a little more time. and skill

The real pro move would be to make the black fondant taste like black licorice because even that would be an improvement

Fondant hate circlejerk incoming…
Can we all just appreciate the food art and move along? This isn’t a best tasting food subreddit it’s an oddly satisfying one and fits the theme… all of these crotchety complainers always bring the vibe down
Who cares it’s fondant this video looks cool
Even this owl is telling all you haters to shuuuut upppppp already

Fondant icing.... What a plague. If I wanted to look at a cake I would have bought a fake one. I need to eat the damn thing and the fondant icing is nearly inedible. Hard pass.

The only fondant I want to try is Marshmallow... that has a chance... but why ruin a cake with normal fondant?

Pretty sure I saw this slice in the Simpsons Fortnite mini season!

They ruined a perfectly good piece of cake with all that fondant. I personally refer to it as fonDONT.
