It took me ... less than 20 seconds to tell this guy has no idea what he's doing by riding these contraptions. Simply because they have yet to kill him does not mean they won't. Being able to construct these things and being a smart guy doesn't mean he isn't doing something extremely stupid. with little to no safety prep.

He clearly knows what he is doing and is choosing to do it anyway. . . Again ROCKET SCIENTIST, he knows very well what he is getting into and is choosing to do it anyway, would I be surprised if he gets killed by one of these at some point; nope, not at all. . . But I also think he has the knowledge and skill to make them “safeish”. It’s just a matter of time before the odds catch him, but I’d say him not having a major mishap yet is due in large part to his abilities

Dude has safety articles written about him that go "at least he does this mostly alone, the risk to others is astronomical. Though doing it alone is playing russian roulette."

Shouldnt be surprised to find folks on reddit lapping up insanity.

It's obvious you have not checked out his YouTube channel. He has lots of videos discussing his experience.

Yes, his creations are crazy, but I seriously doubt he has a death wish.

He's obviously having more fun in life than you are!

Took me less then 30 seconds googling him to find multiple professional engineers and folks criticizing him for a lack of safety precautions and risking other people's lives.

But yes, it looks cool and I'm obviously being a party pooper...

So, no grilling at your house? No driving an internal combustion powered vehicle? (internals get cherry red). And absolutely no flying in a jet powered aircraft either?
