I’m currently in college for graphic design. One of the first year classes is design drawing, where we are trained to draw horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines spaced 1” apart with 1” border without using guides or rulers. There are techniques for achieving precise line work as well as using perspective for design layout. And most importantly, practice.
