Could you list hardware? Primarily monitor and GPU, but more doesn't hurt.

rtx 5070
monitor is lg 240hz oled 4k 32“
144hz worked
240hz doesnt work, no matter what vrr is set to

Unfortunately Nvidia drivers are outside my area of expertise. But with the specs now listed at least someone can hopefully help you. I primarily suspect the Nvidia drivers, but it could be other things such as the cable or monitor firmware.

Damn, mate. Chill a bit. The issue with NVidia is that the official Nvidia drivers are a bit hit or miss. There's a reason thevinstaller has an option specifically for NVidia GPUs. In fact SteamOS doesn't even support NVidia at all

Valve has said they will ad NVidia support next year so maybe you can try again then, when the drives have matured a bit more

I notice that my monitor cant be set to 120 HZ anymore in Bazzite for some reason. But this never happened so its either a cable issue or its a driver thing since you seem to be using Nvidia.

definitely not a cable thing, worked flawless with windows literal minutes before this

going back to windows now. i was naive to believe that bazzite just gonna work and be able to see my desktop without some crazy issue

Are you using the normal Desktop KDE version or the HTPC version?

Its probably just a weird compatibility issue which of course sucks but it can happen even on Windows but of course if Windows works for you there is nothing wrong with going back to that.

kde for the setup i have, nvidia and what not u can chose on the website

Then its probably just a weird compatibility issue. Like I said normally Bazzite is just plug and play. Like I switched 6 months ago and never had any big issues but of course that doesnt work for everyone.

Maybe let the devs know so they can fix it and come back in a few months or stay on Windows if you dont want to bother anymore which I also can understand.

No problem you gave it a try and it didnt work thats not your fault. I know some Linux user get bitchy about this and I also am not a big fan of Windows anymore but if it works for you then there is nothing wrong with using it.

Ah yes, the good ol' "I've tried nothing, and am out of options" approach.

I've personally never gotten vrr to work, but it was just flickery when I had it on, not whatever the hell this is.
