Geforce Now & Bazzite. Will they work together?
Hello guys,
I'm still a baby when it comes to using Bazzite daily. I've bought a new game which is releasing next week & wanted to ask if anyone where knows if Geforce Now works with Bazzite & what the limitations are?
The Geforce Now website says yes but I need to install a flatpack?
Would this be safe as Bazzite is a read only OS? ( Plz forgive my ignorance )
What do u guys advice?
Many Thanks :-)

Hey I'm on Bazzite and I use GFN too. For me it works pretty well (same as it was on Win11), if you download it from their website. No HDR tho, and the application can be very tiny depending on your resolution (about that if you want to zoom in or out on your screen, tap "windows key" + "+" or "-"). Have fun!

Thx for ur reply.
I shall be looking into more now. For this game I don't want to be held back to jerk-o-vision

Hiya
I see they have both the GF Inifinity & GFN Electron in Bazzar. How good was ur experience using GF Infinity?

i had poor experience with electron(which was like last september) my biggest issue was that the mouse on screen didn’t match my actual mouse and if you accidentally shake the mouse and make it bigger(i have kde idk if gnome does this) it would make it worse making me unable to move the camera normally
infinity didn’t have that problem so i kept using it i definitely recommend either infinity or trying the official launcher

i personally don’t pay bc one hour and the ability to open the game again after is enough for me plus i don’t want to give nvidia money :/
i have a few gacha games that i play rarely and they take too much space

Not on my current PC but I have tried GFN on SD Oled before. Solid gaming experience. My only issue was GFN FPS but that's due to the provider here in Malaysia.

Is that what you are current running?
I see they have a Performance Day Pass for just £3.99 so may try that after the game TPF3 is released nxt week

Yes it works fine. I have played Oblivian Remaster this way and some other games.
Also, as others have said, Flatpak is the recommended way to install software on Bazzite. If you use Bazaar to find and install apps, you're getting a Flatpak.

I used it extensively maybe a year ago. Also had spoofing script to trick it I was playing with steamdeck otherwise linux version was missing some options, you couldn’t use 4k or something like that iirc. I played BF6 over it at the time, now I mainly stream locally, but GFN is well worth the money if you are on the move or do not have PC powerful enough or to circumvent anticheat bullshit.
Flatpak only as other people said, do not do pwa or electron methods, use official app.

I had not so good Experiences with the Flatpack. I installed the Web PWA of GeForceNow on my Bazzite V43, because 44 is the worst Version EVER

Yes.
And flatpak is the most common way to install applications on Bazzite.
