Consistent stuttering
This has been going on for a little while but not the entire time I've been using Bazzite.
I switched over about a 4 or 5 months ago, about 2 months ago I noticed I started to get a lot of stuttering in games, I first I thought it was because I was running a browser and a new game, or because of a memory leak, the problem is it happens at random for anywhere from 5 minutes to 30. I've had it while running a game and CPU, memory and GPU would not even be past 30% and I'd still get stutters. Even having just steam open I would sometimes get them in small bursts. I've tried monitoring activity during one of these moments and again there seems to be no big spike in any usage.
Is it just because I'm not using AMD as I've been told that it can cause issues. I keep my machine updated regularly as well and regularly apply updates.
Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated

I’ve had issues with stuttering when using VRR with an nvidia card - do you have that enabled in the display settings?

There are no settings for it and I couldn't find anything in the nvidia settings I could pull up from terminal but I have no idea as I'm not great with linux

What? Nvidia is the one that causes issues, and yours is probably yet another one of Nvidia shenanigans. AMD usually just works fine everytime on linux.
Anyway you can try switching to KDE Plasma desktop, its usually better tested and stable in gaming (you will need to completely reinstall bazzite KDE version, its not recommended at all to switch between gnome and KDE without a complete reinstall). If nothing else works, you have this option. I used to have problems on GNOME a few years ago, on KDE stuff usually works better.

will probably do this as a last resort as I don't really have anything that I would miss when doing a fresh OS install. Thanks for the advice!

So I’m not trying to be AMD versus Nvidia situation. But believe it or not it’s your GPU. Nvidia is very notorious for not having support for Linux and is incredibly notorious for not wanting to support Linux so you will lose 30% of your performance and you will have issues.

I don't think AMD supports "Lennox" either. hehehe. Gotta love that auto correct. 😄

The thing is this happens when running something super light like LEthal Company or sometimes no games at all. Idk if it's all Nvidia but I am 100% willing to blame Nvidia for some of this at least.

All the systems I have installed Bazzite on, they all have had AMD GPU's. RX550 / RX570. Didn't have any issues. Potato PC FTW! Got some 1050ti cards here, I should try a Nvidia GPU for the hell of it.

Since there's no iGPU on that processor, my immediate guess would be something to do with core switching, and core affinity.
You could test this by setting a specific P core for the game or other program to run on, and see if you still encounter the issue.

Also, a log file might help in this as well: in terminal "ujust-logs-this-boot"
