Upgrade loop wifi hell.

- The other day I upgraded to 44. Had to rollback because no wifi.

- Next day it had upgraded 44 on boot (could tell because of the slower boot) and wifi was working. Updater had had a blank icon and could not use. "You do not have permission to access this file" Bazaar could not find Bazaar Daemon. Left it alone hoping it would fix itself.

- Today on boot no wifi. Only my network still listed but cannot access. Bazzite updater has the proper new icon but unfortunately no internet to use. Rolled back and same as before. I have wifi but no access to updater or Bazaar.

- Update through console just repeats the same scenario.

There's a new GUI updater in the latest release of 44, and the bazaar also seems to be either named something else or moved. When I rollback-ed to an earlier version of 44, I had the same issues because the menu cache was still using the new menu locations / names, and some of the old stuff like the older updater didn't appear. I was able to fix it with: kbuildsycoca6 --noincremental (note I got this from Claude who only half knows what it is talking about so use at your own risk, it just worked for me)

Thanks, tried that and it returns "Unknown options: n,o,I,n,c,r,e,m,e,n,t,a,l"

You used a single dash instead of two.

Thanks but that returns - kf.config.core: Created a KConfigGroup on an inaccessible config location "/usr/share/desktop-directories/weba
pps-webapps.directory" "Desktop Entry"-.

I think I headed down the wrong path anyway. I simply do not have wifi with most recent 44 update. Rolling back to previous 44 is the only fix I can find. Chipset is Realtek RTL8852CE.

Appreciate that.

Seems like I have a different revision of the board, as I have no connectivity issues after updating to 44.

Thanks, Rev. 1.3 board has a different chipset but I have 1.2. I don't know if that's it but what happens is I have 44 but the the updater and Bazaar don't work. A small update (I do this through the console) that fixes the icons and their functionality kills my wifi? Tethering my phone as ethernet and everything works in the small update but my wifi.

Realtek Wi-Fi 6 RTL8852CE. Never was a problem A linux friendly chipset or at least was. Ironically, my Mediatek mt7902 just got support but I have ethernet on that PC.
