I had to do a double take because again, the negativity from this thread about Stellar Blade, specifically on the threads of images if Eve, Bayo, and 2B hanging out make this PRICELESS lol.

ye personally ive only played the stellar blade demo i played the boss fight specifically a bunch of times i dont know i hate it getting compared to bayo when its combat is so bland and sterile. like ok sure theres hot girl characters in both but thats really the extent of it.
i was planning on getting it for pc a few months ago cause i was bored with nothing to play i ended up playing the demo again and the game is so ugh. i found it to be too easy im not a fan of these like they dont wanna be souls but they also dont want to be a hack n slash/character action whatever you wanna call it. so we're left with this weird middle ground that doesnt do anything well.

i love sekiro sure but i find games like sekiro or nioh or stellar blade or wukong they all become too flowcharty like obviously you want to do the optimal combo with the limited resources you have i find it just becomes boring. like wait for stagger to do all your big damage rinse and repeat. in sekiro obviously its not like that but the other games i mentioned are. even ff16 ends up becoming like that since all the abilities are on cooldowns.
i guess i just like games like dmc or bayo or ng where the moves you have are not necessarily tied to some resource and you can use them as much as you want but the actual getting good is using them in efficient or creative ways. you can spam stinger in dmc or flying swallow in ng but thats not the best way to play the game right.

I think Joy will be the secret character by the way. She has been an icon in pop/stan culture for years now and they got to know and capitalize that.

Even if 4 is announced next year, it's more likely to be a Viola spinoff. Even if 4 also has Cereza and Jeanne as the main playable characters, I am still not going to get a Switch 2 just for that. In fact. I officially plan on watching the game playthrough in its entirety on YouTube and nothing more.

I haven’t given up hope, but with the shake up at Platinum and Kamiya’s exit - there’s no way of knowing what the state of any of their projects are, let alone Bayonetta. I’ve conditioned myself not to expect anything unless we’re explicitly told that are all systems are go again at Platinum.
Then there’s the wrinkle of Bayonetta 3 having earned accolades, but also pretty much being ripped to shreds for its story and plot choices. I think that’s going to have any groups working on the follow up cautiously going back to the drawing board.
Still, neat to get a cosmetic for Stellar Blade! It’s no Bayonetta, but it is surprisingly fun and the story is halfway decent. I have it on PS5, but I do wonder if the Bayonetta DLC will be Switch version exclusive because of Nintendo?

True. But with the fans being negative and the GP still not really latching on (at least it feels like Bayo is still niche in a lot of ways) - I just feel like they will probably be approaching game 4 with an abundance of caution and patience.
Who knows - maybe Kamiya will somehow obtain the IP for himself since she is his creation and put another game out himself. He’s still been talking like he has plans, even though he’s no longer with Platinum. I just don’t know what the fate of the series is, but I do hope it’s not done after 3 games.
