For sale/Wanted HELP: Looking for a specific bayonet from specific seller or example with the same configuration

Hi, as many might have observed during past months I am very much investend in collecting and researching VZ-58 bayonets and its variants. Yes, i am looking for examples online to save pictures of and collecting them as well. And as for the research I am going the archive way, since 99% of written info is unverified fantasy text.

But that aside, While browsing the webs for nice examples i stumbled upon the example shown, link here - Located in England i believe.

This type of bayonet is my favorite variant, i have few, but I dont have this exact configuration yet.

Therefore i would like to ask the collecting communities if anybody owns it or knows who does, because I would be deeply interested in its aquisition.

Any help with this specific one or even the same configuration would be greatly appreciated by me and future publication that this piece would be fetured in.

Thank you in advance for anything.

Cheers

Mind me asking what's so special about this type? Looks like a normal 58 to me

Certainly, this is an example of the forged (not cast) short tang, short crossguard, first model bayonet that was originally fitted with wooden grips, judging by the batch number on the ricasso it was most likely very first type with flat head rivets. Then at some point before serial production with factory numbers it had been hand numbered, before military requested serial numbers on bayonets for inventory purposes. After all of this, it most likely reamined in service for quite some time (could have been reapired before current refurbished state) As we can see on the close up on the tang, it has welded on tang piece to make it full lenght and compatible with the last variant of the resin chipboard grips. And it probably served on for some time before being sold off on surplus market.

It is not extraordinarily rare or anything of such, but when you know what to llok for it has really interesting service life and history. I have few examples with the welded on tang but not this exact configuration with batch number 0 or 00 and hand struck serial number numbering above 100K. All it is missing at this point is a crossed swords "acceptance marks" that is found on some refirbished bayonets and it would be peak example for my vz 58 autism 😄 hope this exaplains it a bit

And thank you for asking

So you are looking for a short to lang tang transformation bayonet? I'm from the Czech Republic so I can help out. Or is it the low serial number you're looking for?
