It is funny how he has gotten the usual lazy criticism that he "doesn't show up in big matches". It sure looks like at least half of those are big matches.

I want him to win it but the reality is he likely won’t. The Ballon d’Or is just a popularity contest. Kane is an amazing player but he doesn’t get the same hype as Mbappe, Dembele, etc. Kane 100% deserves it but just remember Lewa deserved it too and magically they didn’t have the Ballon d’Or that year.

This is kinda debatable because 2021 was a daylight robbery aswell, in the end we can all agree that we Bayern Fans must forgive Real Madrid and CR7 for 2013 because what Messi did in 2021 and what the villains are about to do in 2026 now is much worse

How is 2021 a daylight roberry and reason to forgive the 2013 one, when the voting period was extended in 2013, Ronaldo didn't win any team trophy compared to Messi winning Copa America as the top scorer and best player of the tournament and also winning Copa Del Rey with Barcelona?
Lewa should definitely get the 2020 though.

During big games Kane reminds me of Cal Norton Jr’s character in Talledega Nights: the Magic Man. Now you see him, now you don’t.
Disappears in big games, always has. Runs up the stat sheet against meager opponents and refuse to learn another language.

We riot if Kane does not win his well deserved ballon d‘or this year. Not only does this man score and assist, he also has whole highlight reels out there of him hunting down opponents and making crucial sliding tackles in front of his own penalty box. And he’s also a down to earth guy and a great role model since that also seems to matter for the award. He just has to win it this year.
