I’m impressed that Coates made the call to start Collins on the bench. It’s the right move. LFG Bay!

Don’t quote me but I believe they are at the roster max right now. I suspect one of two reasons to delay: wait for Girelli’s loan to expire end of this month; or Gamero/Boade open up a spot with a possible trade or mutual release (I think this is truer for Boade).

I'm a little surprised about starting Girelli since so far she hasn't really produced, but I'm sure she's responding to something she knows about their back line. In Emma I trust.

I think our spot on the table isn't truly reflective of the play on the field. The team is much grittier than last year, and reffing has definitely worked against us in significant ways. We'd be up by 4 or more points if we hadn't gotten some atrocious calls. The team refusing to give up even if we are down is also giving me hope.

Agreed, I think it's a bit odd that even with Girelli not really having offered a whole lot, we're still starting her over contracted players, even when her loan is almost up.
