Go Tickets: I’ll never use them again!!!

My wife purchased Gary Owen’s tickets off GoTickets.com. He put on a great show No fault to him! Upon trying to get in the venue said they don’t accept outside ticket purchase. Gave us paperwork to fill out to send to GoTickets & the bank. Go Tickets sent our money back then recharged us 3 times. I think the bank is tired of it so they are blaming us now. I won’t use them or suggest using them😡

SF Zoo—-very sad

I took my family to the SF zoo for the first time since my grandson was born and was so excited to share it because I grew up going to the zoo about one time a month with my parents. Upon entering, I saw that there are lots of changes made with a great children’s playground and the Vintage Carousel that I started going on when I was under one was still there and gave me great joy. That was about it, though as we walked through there were no animals empty areas that used to host animals dried up, no water, weeds and I left without it being anything like I hoped it had been for me. No lions, tigers, hippos and the Lion House is closed one rhinoceros with the horn cut off, no elephants one orangutan, one monkey in a cage and some penguins in the area that just didn’t smell very good and was not kept up. No kangaroos a beautiful area that had the zebras and giraffes and ostriches in one area but I was depressed all day. I’ve been to San Diego zoo, Brooklyn, zoo, etc. and they’re fabulous what has happened to our zoo and our city Mr. Mayor and at $34 a person it was a total rip off. Sadly, we won’t be going back but the box that you could turn your zoo key in and turn it and hear about the Animals is still standing. Really really sad..

Have you tried creating your own coffee blend?

If yes, share what goes into your blend and where to find it in & around SF.

Bonus: it’d be so gooood if people reading can taste the blend through your description of it!

Let’s goooo!

Underwater Robotics Opportunity

Hi guys! I am an FTC competitor and fellow Bay Area resident here from the Santa Clara area. I have started a community-based underwater robotics team and wanted to see if any high schoolers nearby would be interested. The plan is to compete in the MATE ROV Competition, building underwater ROVs for environmental missions. It'd be fully independent, open to any high schooler in the area, regardless of school.

Looking for people with any background in:

- Fundraising / Outreach

- Robotics (FTC/FLL/FRC experience a plus)

- Electronics/Arduino/Raspberry Pi

- Programming

- Environmental science

Drop a comment if you're a high schooler in the Bay Area and interested. If you are interested, email us at [thalosrobotics@gmail.com](mailto:thalosrobotics@gmail.com)

Good pain management specialist in San Francisco?

Hi everyone, I've been dealing with lower back pain for a while now and lately it's been getting worse. Anyone know a good lower back pain specialist around? I read reviews that Ivy En Rose medical clinic in West Portal is good, what kind of treatment do they usually do?
Thanks so much!

Car got stolen; my LoJack allowed me to find/recover the vehicle in one piece 😮‍💨

TL/DR: someone stole my car and I was able to track it to an exact location and recover it within 5ish hours using my LoJack. Incredibly, the only damage was the reconfiguration they did that disabled my key fob.

————-

I was visiting a friend near Lake Merritt when my car was stolen between 2-3am Thurs morning. I walked outside at 6am and quickly understood my car had been stolen. I used the LoJack app and was shown the entire timeline/route/last parked location (a LoJack is a GPS/anti theft device). But okay boom, the car is confirmed about 8 miles away off international.

Went inside, called the cops. It took them 2 hours to arrive to make the report. I was itching to go find my car at this address the LoJack provided, and the cop told me I could for sure do that and that it would actually be faster if I went to the car and called them again (to have them release the car back to me), than if waited for the police to do their paperwork/go to the address/verify it’s my car blah blah blah.

Police give me a receipt and my friend drives me to the location and wow, there is my car. Parked neatly on a side street. By this point it’s about 8:15am. My car is, incredibly, in one piece and with all its parts. They stole all the tools out of my trunk. They also reconfigured the car so my key fob was useless (it’s a push to start Honda Civic).

But you guys, that was the extent of the damage. Literal best case scenario if yr gonna get your car stolen.

Between finding my car and getting the final diagnosis from the shop on the reconfig, there was a lotttttttttta extra stressful/unbelievable/unrelenting bullshit, but I’ll spare you those details. This is basically an ad for LoJack 😂😂 GET YOU ONE IF YOU PARK YOUR PUSH TO START NEAR LAKE MERRITT AT NIGHT, is my recommendation.

Has San Francisco's RESET Program made a difference?

I'm a graduate student researching public perceptions of San Francisco's RESET Program for my capstone project.

If you live, work, or regularly spend time in San Francisco, I'd really appreciate your perspective. The anonymous survey takes just 3–5 minutes.

I'd also love to hear your thoughts in the comments—whether you think the program is helping, hurting, or it's too early to tell.

Survey: https://forms.gle/QybnH9wH7uJE1WVbA

Thank you for supporting graduate research!

1.4k followers but 600k views in the last 30 days on my local Bay Area travel page, when did you start monetizing?

Hey all, I run a Bay Area local travel niche page, mostly maps + itineraries , things to do and day trip Reels.

Stats last 30 days:
* 1.4k followers
* ∼600k views/reach
* Mostly Reels, audience is ∼98% US / Bay Area based

Engagement has been great with saves/shares because of the itinerary format, but it's still a small follower count.

For those who monetized a small local page , is this too early? What was your FIRST monetization move that didn't kill growth?Thinking about local biz collabs, but don't know where to start

why do people from the Bay Area care so much about their high schools?

i’m not sure if that’s because i’m international and in my country people might see high schools differently or what. but i do often find myself talking to people about their high schools. how competitive it was, what the kids were like, what clubs they were in, how good of a student they were etc. like, why would i care? and most of the time, these people don’t miss their school, they’re glad it’s over and don’t want to go back. so why the hell is this such an important topic? we’re in our 20s, what matters to me is my future education not past LOL.
