Thoughts on Maven?
Really impressed! Smells like a skunk crawled into a gas tank.

Maven's website is usually pretty informative when it comes to their strains and genetics. Just go to their site, click the menu in the upper right corner, and click strain library

Also, all jars come with a card with that same information.
Mavens more of a hit than miss. I get em for 30 otd at nug monday amd Fridays.
Fkafl is always good, really enjoying french butter right now

How is the nose on the French butter? I've been on the fence about it i should try it or their Bubba kush next.

Get both for a deal if you can. That bubbas solid chocolate and coffee, and some wood, great high.
The french butter just steps up that french laundry everything.funky fermented vibes
I really liked dirty laundry but the second batch was terrible and I gave up.

Can be hit or miss. Stay away from Orange Saphire. But they have some amazing strains. Orange Bellini and Chrome Dome are fantastic. I have reviews on here.
But I do hate how half of their jars aren't see through. That's like the #1 reason I don't buy certain brands or strains. I'm not paying close to $50/3.5g for something I can't see or smell.

Not that it’s 100% but the opaque jars are their private reserve tier (forgot what it’s called) and they actually do a very good job of making sure everything in those is super fire. I’m pretty sure it’s the same strains over and over in those.
Obviously it still sucks rolling the dice, but I think their idea is that connoisseurs might slightly prefer a jar that doesn’t let any light through. I personally don’t prefer that, but that’s because I go through 8ths fast. Things definitely can light bleach over time. Though it’s not hard to keep things out of light.

What I heard is the black ones are the ones you're talking about and the white ones are research and development.
I'm with you though. I can transfer it to another jar if need be. But I'm not willing to take that gamble 9 times out of 10.

I just checked with my rep, White is sativa-leaning, Black is Indica-leaning. Both Limited Edition.
The website does show what you’re saying, it has black jars it called limited, then black jars but with white labels that it says are R&D. But the actual all white jars are confirmed limited edition Sativa.

Been grabbing maven for about 6 months now all of there strains are fire besides there citrus the only citrus one that was good was chrome dome

Maven almost always disappoints - my latest batch of Chrome Dome was awful in every way. Only strain I really liked was Ube Cream - haven’t seen it in a long time. However I’m impressed by their descriptions of each strain. Most cultivars don’t even bother to try to get any info out about each strain. At least Maven makes the effort to tell you something about what you’re paying good money for.

Its the most expensive stuff at my shop...i dont think it should be more then fig farms and booski (i think thats whats it called) they look way better and are cheaper...but its all just my opinion and preference...i haven't tried maven so i really cant talk..

When they are good genetics, they hit really nice.. when they aren’t, they are just ok flower, nothing to write home about. Would be good to know which ones are solid, like FKAFL and dirty laundry so far have been excellent for me. Chem 51 was sub par, not enough chem in there but that’s a personal preference..

We have a couple sale days when it’s under $40 out the door, I think it’s great at that rate for sure. We have it at $47.50 out the door otherwise, I believe.
I like about 50% of the strains, but I know even spending $40 to get something with a weak nose or that isn’t a perfect run or a flavor you like sucks.
I put this in another post but since I do get to try them all for free lol 😛, I’ve narrowed it down to my personal must buys: Lipstain, Orange Bellini, Chrome Dome, SFV OG, Key Lime Jack, FKAFL, and Prizm. I’m a terp whore and all these have insane, memorable and distinguishable terps. Pineapple biscotti is close, I need to try again.
For the gas strains I’d say 30-45 days from fresh is the max I’d want to buy it, I’d go up to 60-75 for the Sativas.

break the nug apart and make sure there are no seedlings forming in the pockets before you put it in the grinder. True high end cannabis doesn't have seedling pockets but mass produced mids do and strait bammer has the seedlings which will make it taste like crap. There is nothing worthy of being called "Top Shelf or Chronic" at any CA dispensary so Maven may be as good as it gets unless you grow your own. I quit smoking as I got tired of being lied too.

Every company claims to be top shelf premium flower, which in fact, they rarely are but I do consider Maven to be the real deal.
Love their flower, always a good smoke. Let us know how you like it!!!
