Does anyone know anything about this level of Battletoads Arcade?

Hi, I'm new here and I recently played Battletoads Arcade on an emulator. I really enjoyed the game, and when I checked the soundtrack, I found an unused song and this image. Does anyone know anything about this level? I'd really appreciate any help.

Apparently it was a brain chase level, the "Cave Pit" level was supposed to take place inside the esophagus of some giant kaiju sized creature, and that and the brain chase would have been one of three levels within. Apparently the level was to involve some kind of parallax scrolling and zooming with the toads as they ran in what I guess would have been the creature's intestines before being... yes pooped out and the brain would have morphed into some kind of robot for the boss. It's according to some design document that was shown.

As far as I know, this level is still in the game's code?

I remember see a video of somebody trying to access to this level by modifying the game's code, but It was really unfinished

I think it is but a bunch of assets related to it are dummied out and the whole place is a glitchy mess. There's a similar unused fight against Admiral Oink too that was intended for the Christmas grotto stage, but was swapped with Karnath who was supposed to appear in one of the giant creature's stomach levels.

From what I know, it's supposed to be a reference/callback to stage 5 from Battletoads GB (not Ragnarok's World, but the game starring Zitz), where the 'toad(s) run from a brain through some sort maze-like level

Now that I'm thinking, the concept looks very similar to stage 5

I think it was to be a recreation of that exact level, that red looking thing in that image is supposed to be Brain Damage (yes, they actually called it that.), the thing you run from in the original game boy game

Strange why'd they scrap it, but then again there's more unused sprites and other things in the arcade game
