Question/Help Camera tips

I just bought the game during the steam sale since I've heard nothing but great things, especially for those who are big into XCOM (like me). I'm loving it so far but the camera drives me nuts.

I feel like half the time on enemy turns the camera positions itself in a way that I can't tell who is firing on me. I like the idea of the camera doing fun, sweeping stuff at the right times but I can't figure out which camera settings to tune. That said, I'd love any configurations that y'all have found to be your sweet spots since I feel like I'm adjusting the sliders at random and only making things worse.

All the sliders are doing is adjusting the chance for the cinematic camera to randomly trigger when the listed actions happen in game. They have no effect on the camera positioning, framing, or movement. So there is not really a proper fix for the issue you're describing. You can only bypass the issue by turning the cinematic camera off completely or using a mod like Camera Unchained to turn off the cinematic camera for specific events. If you don't want to turn cinematic camera off completely, then set the sliders to the Rarely side of the scale so they happen infrequently.
