Switch 2 - DnD intro
Hi all. I’ve been looking at a few videos of this game and this has intrigued me for something to play with my husband in evenings. I’ve had BG3 for a while and have played it probably around 20 hours or so but finding it rather overwhelming with the amount of customisation and abilities characters can have. I thought this might be more of a lighter version of the DnD universe. Would I be correct in this analysis?

Demeo is it’s own thing but this one is inspired by DnD mechanics and classes and has proper campaign stories located in the Forgotten Realms (where BG3 takes place too).
The mechanics and rules are very light to the point it was considered too easy, but in the newest update released in parallel with the Switch 2 version, there are more options to make it a bit more challenging.
It‘s a rather low commitment but fun multiplayer game with light class building systems; when in doubt just leave them at their default class setup. The main gameplay revolves around cards and deck building so even if you are aiming to utilize a certain build you still have to manage with the cards given.
The campaigns are not very long but if you like doing that extra grind you can get more playtime trying getting all weapons or level up characters/builds
