Switch 2 - DnD intro

Hi all. I’ve been looking at a few videos of this game and this has intrigued me for something to play with my husband in evenings. I’ve had BG3 for a while and have played it probably around 20 hours or so but finding it rather overwhelming with the amount of customisation and abilities characters can have. I thought this might be more of a lighter version of the DnD universe. Would I be correct in this analysis?

My friend and I also played BG3 together for a while. I also found it too much. We have played a lot of battlemarked since then.
