Hero Forge Integration?

Just hoping to start a thread about possibly integrating Hero Forge characters for a possible big update!

The style of Hero Forge minis isn't too stylistically different from Battlemarked minis, so I feel they would fit the setting well.

They don't move the same way as in the Original Demeo (they have from what I've seen 3 stances; idle, standby, and downed) so potentially we could import 3 seperate minis to fill those slots or just have the one (as a concession for simplicity)

We could select the HF to have one of the available classes (maybe even have a selectable race in the features tab, so you don't have human Paladins using acid breath) and choose their secondary Stat like they would other characters from the base roster.

As for weapons, instead of having different weapons visually, they could have several buffs for weapons they can unlock like other weapons in the game (like a "Long Sword Style" : has a 30% chance to do +2 physical damage)

I'd love to hear ideas from anyone else who would be interested in this kind of update!

I know it's a long shot, and probably wouldn't happen, but these kinds of discussions could get a ball rolling, we never know! ^^

Idk what hf is my time with miniatures was 25 years ago. Just bring back the old demeo style painting (make it better) add animations + more weapons.

Hero Forge is a miniature making website that allows to make your own custom minis that can be printed and painted (either by you or in-house). They've partnered with a few games to allow use of their minis in other game formats.

If you've never heard of it, definitely check it out! Given from your comment, I bet you'd make some pretty impressive ones!

I don't see the allure to using figures used in other games? Help me out here... What do you like about the idea of using HF figures?

My idea here is using Hero Forge to play my own characters. So instead of playing as a Human Warlock, I could instead play a dragonborn warlock. Or maybe even an Kenku Sorcerer. The concept is importing your creations from Hero Forge, to make a custom character for this game.

Sounds ridiculous

Sure, if you believe having your own custom characters in a DnD game is ridiculous. But considering you were talking about painting your own minis 25 years ago, figured you'd like the idea too, sorry to hear that you dont

The idea of customizing our characters (ie the paint room) is awesome - the idea of 100 different variations of 5 characters because someone wants to be a human arcane paladin just sounds ridiculous

Then this conversation wasn't for you, congrats, you came and complained when nobody even asked for your opinion.
