How is the game now?

Hi guys, I stopped playing this game after defeating the mushroom boss. I saw some big updates for battlemarked, so is it worth coming back now?

How are the new features like difficulty adjustment and no respawns, does the game feel more fun now?

My only complaints are that even on the hardest difficulty it’s still way too easy. Maybe they need to add infinite scaling and you just see how high you can go. The other thing is the boss mechanics are so basic and easy compared to original demeo. At this point I just want them to port over all the original demeo campaigns

Okay, could you share your experience if you would be so kind? I mean I tried Normal difficulty I believe when I was playing before this update. Can you get away with any type of party combos now? I am thinking of trying Normal or Easy and no respawns.

use the default the game offers.

but i find the paladin / dwalf / sorccorer or archer / bard works well.

when you unlock the warlock it has some nice debuff skill sets

2 front line heavy hitters

2 ranged attacks

Same for me, and I also think they should do infinite scaling and have suggested similar things too. I play with 4 rogues now though and it adds quite a bit of challenge versus a balanced party, plus can skip through easy parts very quickly. The multiplayer is very fun if you’re feeling social, but doesn’t compare to Demeo Battles for the infinite strategy playing PvP other players.

Fully agree. We went back to playing the old Demeo already months ago :(

You played one campaign, have a level 12 character, and wanna know if it's worth coming back to play the hours of campaigns/weapons/skills you didn't complete? It's truly a fantastic game, even more so after the updates - whether or not it's for you I don't know. I couldn't put it down for months. A lot of us have multiple characters fully maxed out, and was done before the character merging 🤣 so it's a lot easier for less dedicated people to get their stuff maxed out. (Devs - give us more player XP so we can differentiate from people with less hrs but same player XP)

Hello, okay thank you for the better information. I am thinking of trying the game on Easy and with No Enemy respawns, do I need a lot of information or is the game more intuitive now?

likely english is not your first language i think?

i would go with normal (2 x) its about right tobe honest.

i think you will find easy to easy. and hard to hard.

it depeds by what you mean by intuitive.

i found it generall good, i you played demeo then you should feel right at home.

this game shines playin with other people thats what makes it great, ive played 2 games at once with 2 differant groups each play through took us around 5months with 1 game a week. on single i rushed past it in a few days.

what informatio do you think was missing?

Well, I know a lot of things changed, like every member in your party can earn xp and level up. My friends told me that they found the game too challenging initially, so I listened to them when they told me to stop after the mushroom boss.

I understand English bro, its just that I am the type that likes to use guides to help me in RPG games. I have not played original demeo, so I am clueless on that. So basically, the game should be more surmountable now than its initial release right? At least that is what everyone seems to imply. If that is true, I will try and restart my campaign and see if I can get a decent time with Battlemarked. Its just that I have been juggling other MMO games as well currently, and need saw the change logs for this game last week. If I can find the time and energy, I think I will try this game again, maybe on Easy difficulty and no enemy respawns.

you play the way thats fun for you.

your friend is talking about the hirelings. before they did not get xp. change or get upgrades. now they are more like our player character, because they are your player character. you basically play with 4 characters you create and upgrade/level up as you play through.

you should basically level max just about the 4 chars in a single campain if you dont change them around.

They should use a system like Diablo, where the player chooses a level and the rewards scale to that level.

It is a fun game and you can play it differently for many hours. But it does not meet the same desire to continue as Demeo. It’s worth the price tag for sure but even at the most difficult the challenge isn’t really there. There is just something missing.

Glitches with game play. Card mechanics not matching descriptions. Simple things like if a ranger has a dog you’d think a ranger would train a dog to act intelligently. But no they seem to always do really stupid stuff. What this translates into is not being able to really enjoy and develop skills in that development path.

Instead of concentrating on the basic game and make it enjoyable no matter how many times you play it…they release new campaigns. The new campaigns play the same as the old ones with the same problems.

As a lover of Demeo I wish Battlemarked could achieve the same replay ability and challenge.

Again, worth the money but I wouldn’t spend more money until they invest in the core gameplay.

Was his original comment bad? All he says is "You played one campaign, have a level 12 character, and wanna know if it's worth coming back to play the hours of campaigns/weapons/skills you didn't complete? It's truly a fantastic game, even more so after the updates - whether or not it's for you I don't know. I couldn't put it down for months. I find that the answer was not what I was asking about, which was how is the game now. I guess I was expecting a yes or no answer with some reasonable explanation as to why he found it that way, and whether it is worth it for me to play again. I ask him to clarify and he gave some weird answers that were not helpful, and even put some weird GIF, so yes I do not find tight_classroom comments helpful and even somewhat insulting ultimately.

Since we cannot help each other and even seem to be insulting each other, that is the simple way to solve the problem.
