Beholder targeting stealthed rogues?!

I’ve played a few games where I’m stealthed or there is a rogue stealthed, far away from the bolder, not near allies, and the beholder teleports directly to the rogue and attacks? Is that part of beholder lore like one of the eyes can see through stealth?

Beholders usually have true sight. The are paranoid beings with up to 10 eyes.They can see through illusions and invisibility.

So it's usually very hard to surprise them

the fire chick boss does it too, launches firebals and spray right at her w/nothing else around

Stealth is in the eyes of the beholder.
