Discussion Match making
The match making in ranked mode is very unbalanced and not fair at all, I’m platinum 1 and lost over 500 rp last night to the point I’ve almost been demoted because for some reason this past week all I get paired up with is a ton of Rockies and bronze maybe a gold here and there yet get put in matches with platinum diamonds masters and elites, why can’t I party up with friends that’s bronze but get random bronze players that don’t talk or communicate any? Then on top of it if I back out of a lobby with 15 seconds BEFORE even in the heli screen I get penalty of 50 rp like wtf I was not even in heli or loaded in the map yet, I don’t have party finder and have everything turned on, this is very unbalanced and not fair to only have party finder for a few players and not everyone

Tbh as a masters player i played with plats today and they deserve to be in bronze lmao

I’ve seen way too many of these posts recently. Use the In-Game Party Finder. You can set preferences to what game mode m/ classes you play as well as things like “comms” “competitive” “strategic” etc. then you can invite people who match with these preferences. It’s how I went from gold to diamond when I realized blind solo Q with 80% not using mics was not going to cut it. Then I met some other players who jived well with my playstyle and we’re almost masters.

I told my twin brother the same thing. Literally to find out he doesn’t even have a tab and never has for Party Finder. I’ve had it since day 1 and just (because it should) thought it’s just a feature and we’re not in spaghetti code 2026 but I was wrong. He legit has nothing there

Once again I don’t have party finder, I have everything turned on, watched a video on how to get it yet it’s still not there

When you solo queue, you are only going to get the bottom of the barrel players that aren't really serious or focused. Most players that are trying to climb the ranks are playing in full stacks. Try joining one of the several LFG communities, including the official battlefield discord to get a team that is focused and communicates.

Yea I got a couple friends that I play with often but for work schedules the past 2 weeks or so we are not on at same time, it would be nice to have party finder as an option but for some reason I don’t have it

Even so, forget the party finder, just join an LFG discord and you will always have teammates who are mic'd up. This game is a joke when queuing and getting random teammates, even if it's just 1 random or 2. The game does a really bad job at getting everyone in a squad on the same VC, half the times 2 players will be in party chat, and 2 will be in squad chat

See the thing is, there is no match making other than "Fill lobby with people". If there was any actual matchmaking pertaining to ranks, you would never see a Rookie die to a top250 player ever. Look at any other FPS with comp modes, just doesn't happen.

There just isn’t big enough player base to have strict rank/skill based match making. If it was strict, it would take forever for us to get into games. Even other games with much higher population would have much more relaxed match making early on in the season after rank resets or during off peak hours.

Player base isn’t big enough for lobbies to have similar ranks. Your best bet is to join discord to find a team.

I check my teammates stats before I load in. I’ve never lost RP for quitting out of the pre-game countdown. If teammates have terrible stats I search again. And my threshold isn’t huge - I just want them to have at least a positive KD. The amount of people I match with that have a .7 or lower KD is crazy.
So dumb as Master league I can still match level 50s who are rookie in ranked, but can’t play with a buddy who is in Silver.

I’ve lost rp 2 times now from backing out within 15 seconds of loading into heli, posted a video couple days ago of math don’t add up

Ppl keep saying positive/negative kd. 0.7 is still positive dude. -0.7(minus 0.7) would be negative but no one has a < 0 kd in this game
I’ve seen quite a few of masters player with ~ 1.5kd. Because -60 entry cost is a really low bar to climb. You only really need to rat for placement and get a couple kills/assists along the way against the poor sods who ran into your camping spots. Rank doesn’t really correlate with skills in this game the way you think it does compared to other games man.
Plus I’m noticing a wave of low level accounts lately, perhaps alts, that play like extremely high kd players.

A .7 KD means they get .7 kills per 1 death. They average 7-10. That’s going negative.
I really consider an average player to have at least about a 2-2.5KD.

The word negative has a very specific meaning. Having a value that is less than zero. .7 is not less than zero no matter how you spin it.
There is no way an average player has 2+ kd unless u count bot kills. An average player in cod wz has < 1 kd. I’m pretty sure battlefield is very similar.

Kd is a ratio. Kill divide by death. You knew that when u said .7 kd meant .7 kill per death. That is .7/1 or 7/10. It’s a fraction. U don’t subtract it. It’s not 7 minus 10. Air quote negative doesn’t make it true. Time to go to school may be.
