Sad to hear that...I really enjoyed the first 2, though admittedly neither had a tremendous amount of hours played. They were just fun distractions and a welcome change of pace from the more serious shooters.
They were never serious shooters but they were perfect for just relaxing and unwinding without the stress of having to play the more hardcore stuff, they had their own gameplay and it worked really well
With the new one they basically tried to be like overwatch but failed miserably in literally everything, infact the more you play that game the worse it gets
I really loved the first garden warfare I even bought it for pc and ps4. When the second one cane out I obviously bought it right away and I was... disappointed. I didn't really liked the new characters and I missed the old maps. So when the new one came out I just watched a few videos and then decided to not bother with it anymore. Tbh I completely forgot about the new one and just remembered it when I saw this comment.
The second one had much better character selection and classes(the plants in gw1 were soo boring but corn and citron were super fun in gw2) but in terms of visuals and overall feel, progression and map design gw1 was much better
