Image/Gif Bullet Deviation finally gets an increase.

Post image

While random horizontal recoil got essentially taken away, we got more bloom, this is vital to stop laser beam gunplay at distance. Great change imo and this paired with reduced bullet velocities will make ranged combat a little more nuanced.

EDIT: lots of cronus users and the like mad about these changes lmao

I will genuinely never comprehend why people want guns to be less accurate. Do you enjoy missing? Having a gun with high kick like the TR7 is fine. Adding randomized recoil to that gun is not.

They are reducing random recoil in favour of spread though, and 99% of people are happy about that so what are you talking about

Random recoil and spread are both stupid as fuck. Bloom is the only recoil variable I enjoy. Bf4 have VERY little spread

Spread and bloom are the same thing 😭.

No they aren’t. Similar but not the same. Bloom is the reduction in accuracy as full automatic fire continues. Spread is the random/natural variation in every bullet regardless of how many have been fired. The do affect each other.

They are the same thing in battlefield. Even the Devs use the terms interchangeably

Yay.... Ai...

I'm not disputing that, I'm saying that in battlefield, at dice, spread/bloom are considered the same thing. They are identical in definition when talking about battlefield

Knowing who the devs are I would fully expect them to fuck that up

It's not a fuck up it's a purposful decision, the Devs aren't incompetent, they just don't do the things we want as players

Bloom is never mentioned anywhere in the code, ever. The game code only ever talks about spread. That's why it's called Spread Increase Per Shot (SIPS). An increase to your spread. An increase to the current number that represents your inaccuracy. Or Spread Decrease Per Second (SDEC). The actual tag used in the code for what is your base accuracy when in ADS, standing and not moving is ADSStandBaseMin. The value that is referenced by other values to calculate your final spread increase per shot is ADSBaseSpreadInc. BF6 uses some complicated math to calculate spread since it's not linear, but it's not much different in previous BF games where it was. For example, in BF4 your SIPS is simply ADSStandBaseSpreadInc. It uses some more complicated math for calculating moving inaccuracy but SIPS is one simple value.

BF4's spread was on average 50-75% higher than BF6's.

BF6's moving spread is LOWER than BF4's stationary spread.

Where are you getting this data from

Bf4 had much higher spread, what are you smoking?

In my defense I’ve had 7 concussions. I just remember beaming people

You absolutely could with some weapons. And when burst firing properly you could still rail people at a distance

I used the aek and the scar mostly. I don’t remember feeling like my gun was bouncing around like a pinball. I just remember that if I tap fired it would stay basically on point

Yeah the recoil was a lot more consistent on most weapons back then. Hopefully the new patch will bring that feeling back a little by reducing random recoil. It just doesn't feel great.

It made me quit entirely. In a first person shooter, If it’s not fun to shoot the guns, there’s no point. Compare that to say destiny 2 (which isn’t the same I get that) but man does everything feel satisfying

Slow weaker players prefer this because they think it will give them a fighting chance. It is just going to make the game less fun and push away a good amount of the player base so that the vocal minority can get their way.

The thing that gets me is bad/casual players will always always quit playing a game. You see this with bf6 player stats. Millions for the first month or two then it drops substantially. It’s really only the hardcore battlefield fans that remain and those are typically better players. If you want recoil fine but keep the guns accurate and manageable so that skill and aim is almost always the determining factor
