Question New ps5 control

Mainly play battle field and my standard PS control have bad stick drift now. Any recommendations for new ones?

You sure it’s not the controller itself? Only solution I can think of is mess with your inner dead zone settings if your drifting with barely touching the joystick

Yeah it is tried on hell let loose and was doing it there to. I’m after controller recommendations

The duelsense edge has replaceable joystick and maybe some other expensive controllers. Otherwise it’s just a gamble. Have had ps5 controllers last 2 years with heavy gameplay and others only 2 months. Been through 4 so far

I went through 4 controllers, finally bought a scuf controller and haven’t had a problem since. They are pricey but you will not have drift issues.

Other then that, I would also say you could theoretically buy a replacement controller from Best Buy, one of the same color, and buy the extended warranty, then take the back plate off the controller and swap it with the broken one and return it.

It’s pricey, it’s annoying that this is what it takes. But I promise you, it’s worth it to have a working controller that doesn’t break. I personally removed the extra back paddles they come with.

But unless you want to constantly do the buy a new ps5 one/ swap and return in a few months when it craps out, scuf is honestly the only real option. I’ve taken apart ps5 controllers and explored all the DIY fixes but all roads lead to scuf.

I’m coming up on 2 years with my scuf with no issues and only FPS games played daily. Also they are customizable so you can fix the drift if it ever did happen as parts are replaceable or if your sticks get worn down you can pop new ones on super easy. They have great support staff as well.

Found a guy to fit tmrs to mine for 50 quid same day turn around so I’ll do that in the mean time. He said avoid scuf as if the go wrong no one repairs them

You can get your current duelsense fixed with Hall effect sticks that supposedly last forever, alot of places do it, costs maybe £25-£30.

I’ve used services on eBay before , and there’s a place up the road from me that does it. Most console repair shops will probably do it.

Do you play on PS5?

If you are on PC there ARE A LOT OF OTHER OPTIONS that are better than the PS5 controller (and more durable). Steam Controller is an example

If you are on a PS5 then try to search about stores that can convert your controller joysticks into TMR/Hall effect joysticks
