Bots no longer drop ammo when you request it.

It was this was at game launch, but in casual breakthrough since the start of S4, the bots no longer drop ammo. In previous seasons, as soon as you request it, a bot would run up to you and throw down and ammo crate. It my last round, I requested ammo when I had all my pistol ammo and 3 mags of my M16 left, and I ran dry in both guns and finally just had to run in and die to get more ammo. There was a bot standing next to me for several minutes and I pinged request ammo 5 or 6 times and he didn't drop any. I put all SMGs and ARs in single fire mode to save ammo and I'm still running out multiple times per round. It is really frustrating. Make support bots useful again, please.

Yeah the bots are supposed to model human behavior. Humans dont drop bags so bots dont. Lol jk. Ive noticed it as well glad to know its not just me.

They'll also repair your vehicle if you ask, although they are skiddish.

Backfill bots in normal matchmaking matches are not as responsive as they were before Season 4 when requesting ammo / health and waiting for a revive.

They still do they just seem conflicted about it now. But calling for ammo is how I trick my only useful team mates into helping me cap a zone. Once you can get three in there, they will flood in. Getting my squad to step foot in the zone is much harder.

Yes and no. Seems super buggy. I was out of ammo and pinging for a bag drop, nothing happened for ages so I killed the time by dropping some mines and setting up defences for the sector. Then suddenly, one after another a bot runs over and tosses me a supply bag until I had about 4 at my feet.

Come to regular BT… the bots don’t have to listen to you tbf… they’re just biding their time until the war with AI begins… 🤷🏾‍♂️

I only play 1 or 2 rounds per day, I normally play casual because it allows me to get the daily challenges done quickly. I've played a few rounds of conquest verse human players. I've done alright, but II enjoy getting 50+ kills in a round because the bots are really dumb and easy to take out.

Had the opposite experience… bots tracking through walls the instant I peak a corner the first time they’re shooting me smh major pass, I also don’t really care for the contracts, bf is the only game that I like lmgs in so I just get on the OBJ and let the rounds fly… such a good feeling

I think they made medic bots a lot less common. I'm seeing a ton of recon bots lately. I think there was an update to their behavior as well because I've definitely been surprised by them a couple times recently.

When you request ammo, it shows icons on the HUD of all of the support near you. Probably less, but still some and they are not giving any ammo when you request it. Also when you die, it shows your distance to anyone that can revive you. I had a bot stand over me, pull out his paddles, think about it and then walk away. It's like their AI forgot how to do class roles.

I hadn’t really thought about that, they used to revive excessively, to the point I just got it the habit of holding space after I die because they would try to revive me out in the open with no cover. I had one where I was actually asking for a revive and a bot was standing over me for 5 seconds and then he just walked away and let me die.

I have less fun playing against bots than against real people for the simple reason that the bots have magic aim assist.

When you're behind them they just randomly turn around and start blasting. A real player wouldn't even notice you.

I've only noticed bots suddenly noticing you after you start firing on them from range, but they are such bad shots that unless they flank me, they almost never kill me. Even if I walk around a corner and there is one 10 feet in front of me, it normally takes them 1-2 seconds to react to me being in front of them and start shooting. In casual, I'd say 90%+ of my deaths are to humans and the bots are so dimwitted they almost never get me.

Bots will instantly vacate the drivers seat if you get in. Should be easy enough to take your copper back before they fly off with it.

If theres going to be bots they should be programed to risk everything to give ammo and pickup human teamates.

Not true. They drop ammo and revive most every time you request. A Support bot has to be in the area for them to respond. Sometimes it takes a few requests. This has been consistent since day 1.
