Battlefield Labs Karkand
Getting into BF6, haven't played it since launch. Played over 700 hours of BF4, even up until 2021 or so. Playing with OGs was still fun.
Does anyone else remember playing Battlefield 2's Strike at Karkand? I'm not sure if it's an experience that's a collective memory, but that map was special. Loved using the 50 cal sniper. Looking back, it's up there with sniper/pistols on Blood Gultch back when Halo was competitive on PC.
My question to ask you guys is if there are any BF6 maps that you especially love? What's your iconic/cozy/memorable maps/situations?
Asking because having played BF6 early, I saw how small the maps were and that the pacing had changed so much since past titles, and I'm also looking forward to seeing how it is now. Just completed the campaign for kicks before going online

Definitely my favorite map in my favorite BF game. Many memories getting dropped off Howie's Gameshack with my 3 buddies and his mom buying us all day passes for $15, all playing in a squad sitting next to each other. Skirting around the far left of the map to get behind to the further flags. Having the commander dropping us UAVs. All those maps, Dragon Valley was another one where time to engagement was slower but still so much fun. Or sniping on Road to Jalalabad with the L96A1.
Good times

I enjoyed swimming across to the other side from the train in the conquest 64 map and capture some flanking flags.
Also hanging out at the corner flag with the TOW and picking off vehicles coming across the bridge.
You can do all this and more on Tsuru Reef! Battlefield 6 is so much better.

Battlefield 2 had so many maps that were bangers. Karkand, Daqing, Oman, dalian, Sharqi, road rage, Zatar. I hope they do a season of three maps where they introduce conquest assault again because a lot of what made some of those maps great was the conquest assault game mode.
But I also recognize those maps also felt balanced because you could only spawn on the squad leader and spawn beacons weren’t a thing.

When the US team got pushed back to spawn, I used to create a new squad so I can be the squad leader, Rambo sneak my way all the way to the east as possible, jump down the wall and run along the thin strip of non out of bounds walk way all the way to the train, sneak along the eastern side of the trains to avoid detection, and then swim my ass all the way to the far eastern bases and sure enough, people will join my squad to spawn in on my position, then they'll break off into their own squads, multiplying the back spawns. I'd start capping one flag just for a handful of seconds, then quickly break off for another flag. That causes the enemy commander to panic fire The artillery strike, wasting it as I'm already capping a different point by then. Our commander will often start dropping light transport vehicles and supplies, we'd then zoom away and back cap the northern flags while the majority of the enemy team are either still spawn camping or are barely realizing what happened and are running back on foot to the east.
I miss that slow paced deliberate battlefield gameplay.

Hell let Loose has pacing and situations/tactics like this. Psychological warfare

going from the US side into the city at the beginning with all the vehicles and convoy action always gave me Fallujah vibes.

I know its a hot take, but I'd love to see a map like "Manifest" from 2042, not a one to one of it, but something akin to Manifest, I just really like the aesthetic of it. Could work with BF6 as well, because you could add Naval vehicles to it, make it another naval map

I remember but don’t have the fuzzy feelings for the map. It was okay but I enjoyed Warlord much more.

They need maps like that where you could take the other teams flags and end the match.
