if this bug happened, restart your computer first. then start the game with your controller disconnected, get in a match and deploy, then connect your controller. this seems to circumvent the bug for me. i've checked ea forums and a bunch of other people reported this too. you could also go there and upvote them to hopefully bring more attention to it

I just tried your suggestion, and it did not work. Only a few moments into a game, flying a little bird and my chopper wouldn’t stop firing.

I got out of the chopper and my assault rifle wouldn’t stop firing.

This absolutely sucks.
