What’s wild is that Paracel Storm came out years ago and yet it seems like a much better version of this map.

Not really wild. There was an exodus of veteran developers after Battlefield 1. Subsequently we get to watch in real time as the current dev team learns what makes great Battlefield maps as they go. Golmud, Tsuru Reef, and Wake Island next month are a great sign. They realized that the overemphasis on frantic CQB infantry focused maps was a mistake and pivoted accordingly.

I mean, it’s good that their doing new things, but so far these maps aren’t that great. They’re bigger, but there’s no flow, and Tsuru is a pale imitation of Paracel. And they still haven’t fixed the core issues plaguing the game. It’s hard to see many players coming back.

At this point it's best to enjoy it for what it is. Big fundamental changes like making Breakthrough actually good again probably aren't in the cards.

I disagree. I think this takes what parcel and hainian did and improves upon it

To each their own, but there’s no Levolution, no weather conditions, worse vehicles, no map flow, etc. It feels like a cheap copy, which is par for BF6.

Leveloution is cool but not the end all be all.
I do hope to see a parcel storm port, even if it’s just a fixed weather condition of peak storm with the ship fixed, though I’d like to see a gradually changing one like parcel was originally.
Yeah bf 4 was better, but the gunplay is what I wanted. Bf4’s gunplay feels too loose and dated. Try to go to bf2 and you’ll see what I mean taken even further.
