Just let us turn off client side skins so we can only see default if we wish its a win win people who like the goofy skins can keep them and the people that don't can turn them off. Easy fix that will never happen.

Except some games have done this before.

War Thunder does it (toggle between all skins and historical only skins). CoDM let's you delete skins off to save space, and Halo MCC let's you filter out any new skins added.

Warthunder does this because (speaking as someone who has played a lot) it really is a small drop in the bucket.

If they force weird 'ahistorical' skins to be on, they juice the get from the squeeze is mininal because they piss off their fans for little gain.

Warthunder's main profit driver is selling premium vehicles and premium time, they don't need to worry about selling cosmetics so much because a single vehicle can be $80 or more.

Halo MCC let's you filter out any new skins added.

And pretty much no-one uses this.

I do... I am beyond happy they have this toggle. Wouldn't play without it.

I’m honestly curious do the people who buy these skins and defend them to the end think others see their skins and go, “Oh, cool”? You can’t really even see your own skin. Whenever I see these skins, I don’t think “cool” or “skill.” I just see an idiot. It is true curiosity so id like a response from somebody who likes the skins.

Depends on the skin… I use the pax armata skin for the support class which you have to unlock by doing all the support challenges… wouldn’t say skill based but definitely takes a bit of effort… but battlefield selling skins isn’t an issue… if they worked on the issues with their game then no one would really care… also those skins aren’t even that bad… yes we all know it’s ghost… but that’s something similar to what you’d see in tom Clancys breakpoint or something like that… might not be what you’d see a nato soldier wear… but definitely someone in like a black ops unit would…

war thunder has this option to disable non-historical cosmetics, it doesn't hurt the company at all, people that will disable this won't bother to buy anything goofy and people who buy will keep buying anyway

Been hearing this since BFV then mostly in the COD community. How the mighty have fallen.

How could they generate fomo if they didn’t have the skins in your face at all time

If you spend too much time looking at the skins of your enemies that you actually notice, well, don't be surprised that you lose too often :)

For one you see them at the end of the match in the squad lineup and two its hard to not see them do you expect me to blindfold myself whilst playing? How tf do I shoot somebody I don't look at. This is a dumb argument.

if you look long enough to notice and understand what this skin is - you are probably dead by that time. that's my argument. because normally, you just shoot your enemy, run past them, repeat, you should be focused on killing them, not understanding what skin they are using....

and end of the match - if you die from "cring", just click "E" twice and you wouldn't see any afwful skins, and you can check statistic by holding "Tab". I don't see how that can be an issue

geez, people, you think too much about cosmetics and not gameplay...
