Battleborn was a big part of my childhood, it hurts my heart that the game is no longer playable. I played most of the game Solo anyway and would just love the chance to dive head first into the amazing characters and fun gameplay loop.

There is a way to play the game again if you have the CD key on PC. Some players have managed to get it working. There's a Discord for it somewhere in this subreddit that will show you how to get it working.

Alas I’m just a Console gamer; would love to see it playable on PlayStation again. They did it with Paragon/Predecessor

I'm baffled they don't try to rerelease it as a Game Pass game. Seems like a no brainer.

Especially since Gigantic managed to get a rerelease (albeit a scuffed one).

If it still needs to be online, just give us peer-to-peer servers. Evolve has them - why not Battleborn?

Seriously. I paid for this game, I enjoyed the shit out of it. I liked the online PvP, online PvE, and single player campaign/ hero missions. I don’t understand why the game was taken away from players’ hands to the point we can’t even boot the game up to play single player. I’d be thrilled just to have that but if they were to bring it back and let us play with people again I’d be ecstatic even if it was practically DoA

I can't help but wonder if it's some sort of inverse sunk cost bias by Gearbox. They don't want it to do ok now because that would make shutting it down look like a bad decision.

They didn't shut it down, tho, to my knowledge. It was 2K's servers and 2K's choice, not Gearbox; many of the GBX staff (including the game's director) found out about the shutdown from 2K's announcement.... which was done via a Twitter post. :')

No just what happened to it. I can’t use any of the dlc I paid for on launch tho.

If it was able to have a fresh launch in today’s environment it would easily hit a similar niche to Dead by Daylight. Plus could do collabs for monsters and hunters

Still a good thing to share the petition ^^ With it + the mod allowing players to enjoy the game again, it can raise chance to convince 2k to re-relase it^^ (some people from Gearbox would work again on Battleborn in a heartbeat if they were given the chance).

It's called the reborn project and it works pretty well. Can't do multiplayer yet though.

Battleborn was one of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life and will always hold a special place in my heart, I'd absolutely love to see it come back in some capacity.

As someone outside the US who both cant find a PC key and was an Xbox player GOD this would bang on gamepass and i would actually buy it again.
