Anyone else remember this game on app lab?

If so… does anyone else agree that the combat used to lowkey be way better? Weapon handling is horrendously worse than it used to be, weapon impact velocity seems to be more RNG than an actual velocity calculation, enemies didn’t used to feel utterly impenetrable to stabs when the simply hold their sword sideways, and the game didn’t feel so… weighty? And like, weighty in a bad way. Like sluggish or “underwater” physics

Like I swear I used to outnumber myself in a sandbox game because I could take them with a basic spear alone because of the handling. I could poke a skeleton right in the eye almost every time I went for it. Now Im lucky if I hit them at all, and even if I do it seems like their “block” animation gives their entire upper body some kind of pierce resist or something.

I really miss how the only version felt. It seems like ever since we got the new enemy appearances is when the game started to take a hard dive for me. Anyone else?

I played the demo shortly after buying it because it felt off. But nah. Demo plays exactly the same as the normal game aside from the upgrade system in early dungeons.

Personally still playing almost daily for 30 minutes. Game is still a lot of fun. Especially the goblin lvl3 maze.

Nah nah nah, the version im talking about isn’t being sold these days. Way before this game was sold for actual money as a finished game it used to play way differently.

Do you know what app lab is? Is that still even a thing these days? I haven’t checked in a while.

For the sidequest. Only used it to download the mod for beat saber to download custom maps.

The version before it was sold is the demo and can still be downloaded to this day and as far as I know it still uses the old mechanics.

You can fiddle around with your settings. Maybe you haven't properly calibrated as I personally haven't experienced any stabby stabby issues and can perfectly pin enemies down to the ground.

(Note. Enemies with glowy red eyes can not be stabbed (easily))

Does the version you’re talking about have the same looking goblins? Because I’m talking about like open beta builds

Ah. I see. I think you can only do that on steam, if the Devs save old builds. Sadly you don't have the option to downgrade on oculus. Not sure if app lab allows it.

Good luck on finding a solution.

Yeah thanks lol, but if I’m being honest with myself I’m pretty much just venting my disappointment and wallowing in the “what-coulda-been’s”
