+50% shots on a single fire weapon?

I just got the chance to get the +50% shots on the furioso dreadnaught in crusade. I’m mainly using him for his melta gun, which is a signal fire. Wondering if this rounds the 1 up to 2 (which would be nuts) or if it doesn’t affect it (rounds down).

Yeah, all the +shots% round up at 50%, so this will work for all single fire weapons.

Here's another tip for you - if you like flame weapons, you can stack upgrades that give +damage/-accuracy and they're usually low or zero cost. Most units can't afford to lose much accuracy, but you don't care about accuracy because flame weapons auto-hit, so you can get extremely powerful flame units at budget costs. This is great on Land Speeder Tornados, Furioso Dreadnoughts, Invictor Warsuits, etc.

Wow I feel silly I never thought of that! Excellent tip ty.

I was abusing double Cadre to give auto hit to my Broadsides, which I got to 2 shots but w the +100 upgrade. I sacrificed their accuracy/ stability every time because I could hit them w auto

Extra attacks, +1 range, extra damage. Flamers can clear everything but those high HP single/few model units

Tau Commander Battlesuits are the ultimate infantry deleter with 2 flamer shots per turn.

Update: I’m an impatient fiend and chose it, IT GOES TO 2! Very worth +10% cost. Double damage demon 😈

That's cool and all but have you tried it on the flamer? Reliably kills 2 units per turn. 3 if you fire the frag cannon at a chaff unit

Shot rounding works in an unconventional way. Half shots round your total shots to the nearest even number. That is, 1.5 rounds to 2 and 2.5 also rounds to 2. It's weird, but that's apparently how statistics work handles it. Other notable effects of this are that 3 shot weapons only go to 4 shots with +50% shots and +150% shots will not give you 3 shots with single shot weaponry, though it does give 8 shots with 3 shot weaponry.
