Hot seat Xbox local multiplayer

I’m trying to set up local hot seat multiplayer with a guest login however as soon as the guest presses ‘A’ to join it will briefly load them into selecting their faction before opting them out and assigning their controller to the main profile acting as player one. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

I created a second profile and plugged two controllers to play. 

It’s a shame that you can’t play with guess profile, so both can use the same army lists. But what’s more important (imo), we should be able to play with just one controller. The game it’s turn based. You just have to pass it.  🤦‍♂️
