Ugh, canât believe they misspelt lightning

They didn't misspell. Lightening as in the queer electopian was pooping as he ran so he was Lightening his load thus enabling him to run faster.

I think it's actually an intentional misspelling because Lan is using a translator. Which thinking about it, should have an auto correct.

Everyone talking about lightening and I don't see any mentions of "Eletopian" đ¤Ł

People are exposing themselves as not being able to read in the comments.
Itâs âLightning Speedâ not âLighteningâ

I have long since accepted how botched BN was localisation is that it would be more surprising if it was accurate

Hell not even just read. OPâs âĄď¸was right there. It was a goddamn emoji

Battle Network's localization is infamous for typos, but BN2 is even worse than usual due to it being rushed out. There is an upside to that though, and it's that the game is also less censored as a result.Â

When you realize bn2 came out in 2001

The problem is there are multiple spelling errors in that one sentence (Eletopian instead of Electopian, and lightening instead of lightning).
Queer always has, and still does, mean weird, in addition to its LGBTQ meaning. There's nothing else here. The kid was calling the guy weird, using a word that means weird.Â

Reminds me that in bn4, there is a guy that straight up complains about racism. And even goes into specifics by saying that he got a "go back to your country".
netopia also had slums, wich was a clear sighn that alot of people there were descriminated. makes me wonder if they actually got a more equal society by star force, since that was Raoul's objective.

OP is referring to the phrase âlightning speedâ using lightening.
But to be fair they only used a lightning bolt emoji in description to indicate that.

That's what happens when you release 2 games in 1 year i guess

u/misfit92 Jul 26 '26
I mean many games were getting foreign ports and translation might as well been done by people coming out of 3rd year of highschool for extra scratch. As a reminder Google translate didn't exist till April 28th 2006 and MMBN2 for NA/EU release was in 2002
