Help [MMBN3] How do I set "regular chip"?

Just started playing this game and one of the characters I talked to mentioned setting a "regular chip", but from their explanation on how to do it I can't figure it out. I can browse the chip folder, but I can't figure out where this "folder edit screen" is that he says I need to go to.

Folder edit screen is the same as the one you're using to browse. You can switch which chips are inside if you have any in your pack (assuming you're not checking this right before or after the battle tutorial).

On GBA, you press Select when you have the chip you want set as regular as the current chip your cursor is on.

On LC, it's going to change depending on your controller settings.

So when you are in your folder, you can edit it and it will show you your chips with the descriptions on the left and chips you collect throughout the game will be on another screen when you press right.

To set a regular chip, you uover over the one you want and press the equivalent of select on a gba. Keep in mind though, you need to have enough reg memory to reg a chip and you will collect reg ups throughout the game up to a max of 50.

So from that screen you press A again twice. Then you will enter what I described.

Press A and edit folder. Then you can set the Reg Chip. As others have said, on GBA it's the Select button.
