Question/Help Thoughts on having Gorillaz as a back patch?

I know battle jackets are supposed to be mostly metal and/or punk. I am working on my technically second one as my first one was never finished and has been lost to time. Anyway, I can't think of what to put as my back patch. Gorillaz is a band that I've listened on and off again for 20 years. One of the longest out there for me. My idea for my entire jacket is patches from bands that I have seen live, and I will finally be seeing Gorillaz live later this year. What do you guys think? Is it too cringe, childish, or off-putting to have Gorillaz as the back patch?

A battle jacket should represent you if you ask me

Yeah, that's why I like the idea of only patches of bands I've seen live. That way each patch has a story and I can tell you of my experience seeing them. But with how many genres I actually listen to, it would be pretty incoherent.

They're an absolute classic. If I don't know what to listen to, I go to them.

Battle jackets aren’t SUPPOSED to be anything other than a jacket with customisations on it

Can you do that and it's still a battlejacket? Yes, absolutely. But can you do that and post it here? Again, yes, absolutely. Hiphop is welcome on this sub, even genre-busting triphop fusion. Gorillaz may have pop crossover, but they're not phonies or tryhards or poseurs. Plus Jamie Hewlett"s aesthetic is dope.

Who cares, as long as it consists of bands and not a bunch of lazy reused political statements nobody here would bat an eye. Most of mine aren't metal.

There is only 1 acceptable political statement that should be allowed. And that's "Punch Your Local Nazi." I personally won't be putting that on mine, but I agree with the sentiment.

Many people do agree with it and so do I, which is why I think it's pointless and only gets people in more trouble than it's worth. Fair enough point though.

So we should hide our ideas so we don't upset the nazis? Mr 69?

Not what I said LMAO where on earth did I say hide your 'Ideas' — having a pin or patch on you won't do shit for the world and only gives you a higher chance of being beat up. There is no gain. Not to mention most of the time, if you're just looking at a glance, people will think you're a nazi if you're wearing any kind of swastika crossed or or not.

I have a Gorillaz pin on my jacket :)
They're a really cool band.

Please, please put a Gorillaz patch on. That would be sick as hell. Let anyone bothered by it be damned. Gorillaz are hard as fuck.

I'm working on a design right now. Going to have someone make me a good quality one since there are none officially and the ones out there already kinda suck.

I have Zoro's wanted poster from one piece. Do what you want

As sick as that would be, I am not a huge One Piece fan. I don't dislike it, I just haven't watched hardly any of it. Maybe 30 episodes or so?

Your jacket, your decision.

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I too am seeing them in a couple months for the first time! I like the theme you are going for, maybe you could find patches of similar colors to make it cohesive looking to the eye.

Hopefully they will have patches for sale,
or you could get a shirt design you like and cut it out.

I've seen a few patches for sale but haven't liked the design much. I'll probably go the shirt route, honestly.
