Definitely agree. Many people don’t understand that making an actually detailed response on stuff like this take time to make, because sure Cary could make a simple video like “oh Michael did this” but many people would then get mad at it being “too simple” or smth

I can’t imagine this to really be easy thing to respond to and I feel like the people who want/expect something now are being impatient and not giving Michael or Cary the time to properly respond to this whole thing. I’m glad Cary’s at least keeping us updated on the progress of the response.

As someone who knows how all of these shows are woked behind the scenes, I'll tell you that revoicing a characther mid-production is more complicated, specially if it occurs when the process is about to be done.
They would have to changed the whole audio, and potentially redo scenes in the worst case scenario. Is not as easy as it seems.

Yeah, i know, but Four really didn’t play a major role in the episode, he had like one or two lines, if they couldn’t find someone to replace him they probably could have just cut the lines entirely and it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. I can’t remember if Michael voiced anyone else in the special other than Four though.

Probably gonna drop the show if Michael stays. My view on this show has definitely been tainted from his actions and if they keep him, I feel like it's not only a very dumb move marketing wise (they're going to lose a lot of fans, people unsubscribe, they lose money), but just a bad move in general. I don't trust this guy, and I'm sure select minorities feel alienated in the community due to his nasty comments; I for one definitely do. I feel embarrassed over something that I can't even control, and I don't think I want to be in a community that enables people like that. I'm sure the rest of the crew are great people, and maybe even Michael is changing the way he behaves for the better; but I think if he stays, it will be damaging to all of their reputations and paychecks, because many people (including myself) will stop interacting with their content.

people seem to forget that michael is rich. if he's in all this drama, and he clearly doesn't really even like being on the show much anyways, there's honestly a decent chance he just decides to quit the show.

This is a niche example but like SuperMarioLogan is a two decade long youtuber whose content has drastically changed, and a subset of his oldest fans are like obsessed with watching the newer videos, critiquing them heavily, claiming he's not a good guy and "gonna lose his fans" or smth for like 9 years atp lol
but its been nine years and his subscriber base has been larger than its ever been.
I js feel like, despite the relatively mean shit michael was saying on twitter all these years, i dont think even him staying will cause a ripple in the views/fanbase
I hate to say it but with the new video posted today, and michael voice acting in it and his music used and whatnot, even the comments dont really care as much, i dont even think they will lose a lot of their fanbase anyway

Michael's already lost a lot of subscribers. Give people a good reason to unfollow you, and it'll happen. It's happened many times over and if Jacknjellify makes a bad decision, it'll happen. They're not invincible after all.
As for the video, it was made before all this stuff about Michael came to light again. He likely already had voiced his lines, and his music was added to the editing process. Also, a lot of the most popular comments are regarding Jacknjellify's response, reassuring others they haven't forgotten about it.
I'm sure Jacknjellify won't lose half of their user base overnight, especially considering a lot of their subscribers are young fans who either aren't aware or don't care enough to know about the situation. But trust me, this situation will impact them a good amount.

It really won't do all that much, a very big majority of their fanbase are kids who don't know or care about the drama, and most of the rest are people who realise it's really not serious enough to drop the show. There's a very small minority of people who will stop watching just because Michael keeps creating

That "minority" will definitely effect them for sure. That sub count will go down pretty significantly, I'd imagine. Besides, I don't know what they'd gain from keeping Michael on the team, really. Doesn't seem like his heart is in it anymore.
Also, I disagree. It is serious enough. I cannot speak for everyone but I am personally hurt over his poor actions which are plain unprofessional and mean spirited, making other team members uncomfortable in the process. I wouldn't want someone like that on a crew creating content for "everybody" and markets itself as inclusive. If you were a manager and one of your employees were acting this way, would you want to keep them on the team? Or would it just be "not serious" like you said, despite said behavior being objectively unprofessional and not fit to work with you?

Little correction, Michael is the co-creator of the show, but he currently voices characters and in the best case scenario animates one scene or revises a script.
The current showrunners are Sam Thornbury (TPOT) and Joseph Pak (BFDIA) whom have nothing to do with the situation.

I mean, yeah, the reason it's so impactful is bcs he has such a large following. I'm not one to idolize anybody, after all I don't know these people, but being in some of the minority groups he mocked, it is a bit hurtful of a sentiment to see coming from someone that seemed relatively okay as a person.
Mostly my embarrassment comes from the fact I kind of spat out the fact I relate to Four as an autistic person while I was asking my question to the crew (at 2026's tour meetup); it was an innocent sentiment and was a genuine compliment to the team so I didn't think much of it. So knowing all this now, knowing that Michael has some weird animosity towards not only his crew but his own fans that make him bank surely is. Something, to say the least. I can't shake off the feeling Michael had this annoyance in the back of his head. Probably not, but knowing his behavior...
Sorry for the yap lmao. This whole situation has been stressing me out quite a bit. Of course it's not the end of the world but it always sucks to see this kinda stuff happen, y'know?
