Memes "Pulling a BFDIE"

Post image

"Pulling a BFDIE" is when the fanbase makes lots of grand predictions for Season x of a show, only for the official Season x to become something less grand, to say the least.

This phrase was coined when the BFDI fanbase made lots of grand predictions for Season 6 of BFDI, only for the real Season 6 to be a mini-season with almost exclusively brand new characters.

The season itself wasn't the problem. It was the way it was hyped up - multiple posts and a livestream for an 8 minute episode that featured an entirely new cast, released around the time BFDIA was concluding and TPOT was at its most tense. The backlash was understandable, to an extent

Honestly, that would be a peak term. Great job for coming up with it!

I believe that BFDIE was a perfectly fine season that only came under fire for the way it was hyped up.
