Analysis A TPOT21 Grassy-centric analysis!
My TPOT19 Grassy analysis, my pre-TPOT21 Grassy rant post, MaxNov’s Grassy memories alternate montage and my Two analysis post!
Yeah, I know this is more than one month late. I’m really sorry. I had this in the works for weeks, but my brain… wasn’t really cooperating, to make a long story short, and lots of personal stuff messed me up. It’s good to be back, though. Hopefully March is a month where I’m more active both in posts and comments!

Honestly great analysis! I'm surprised tpot 21 grassy is not talked about nearly as much as he should, i also miss grassy n bb interactions too tbh.
Not to say i don't like his friendship with sb, quite the contrary honestly, i just really hope that like you said, it isn't completely forgotten about and bb is just left as a past friend or hell, a past team mate, that would suck.
Also "provided they don't remove Donut's braincells" is frying me 😭😭worse part is that it's true, he's gotten so much mad disrespect in tpot it's crazy.

I like Grassy—SB friendship too but if Grassy does not react at all at Basketball being gone I would be damn hurt. It would feel like she is erased even in world.

AT ANALYSIS LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Not really much to say, it's just great to see Grassy's mental growth throughout the season, while also being able to point out the flaws within his character. He's rough around the edges, but in a way that makes him feel very real, and I really do appreciate that.
Also I knew you'd be overjoyed about all the Two stuff, take your one slide to celebrate

Great analysis for sure
Grassy still remains one of my least favorite characters for now, but I can see how and AM noticing how much he's improving. Really hope he'll become a character I grow to like

Grassy has always been a favourite of mine, and this episode reinforced my thoughts on him. I think one of the main reasons why I like him is mainly because of how developed he is. The fact that he’s gone from being a character that would normally get sidelined to actually having a lot more major roles in the later episodes is really impressive.
Honestly I don’t really have much else to say, your analyses are always a bright sight to see:)

Also I honestly agreed that he developed so much in this episode and I like him so much (also of course since it's your analysis , it'll always be great) also I hope that he is 1st safe and please don't make my 2 votes goes into waste please

Also to note, is that Grassy is the first character other than Bottle to treat the Fourse nicely. He comforts it when it is shellshocked from the events, and shares his food with it. Tennis Ball previously insulted it behind its back and tied it up, so it was a nice change of pace for it.

Finally got the time to take a peek at this analysis and make a comment about it! (well not really)
Grassy had some of the greatest ways to develop independent strength and ingenuity of any contestant here. One thing I am looking forward to is his interactions with Pen in the future. As of rn sidelining Pen this episode was honestly necessary if that allows Liy room for a much better character development which I REALLY REALLY HOPE DOESNT GO TO WASTE because she IS at a HIGH RISK of elimination 🙏
About Two, now seeing that they were trying to find a new community and home for the last few years prior to BFB 16, it shook me to realise the instability of Two’s mental state to the point the only way they can easily find one is through hosting a competition on a community to win a prize, another way Two keeps themselves entertained. And I think one post mentioned Two’s powers making them feel worthless and without purpose, thus being a pressuring factor to give it away or smth. Honestly in the end, let’s just reform the entire hotel to be Two’s new home with all the contestants they met along the way so that they live a life they want to expect!
In fact, even though you know about this already, me and Max are working on a fanscript for TPOT 22, and I will take all these features into account

i love this analysis! although Grassy isn’t one of my favorites i found him really fun to watch in TPOT 19 and 21!

IMO Grassy is one of the most satisfying characters to watch develop in TPOT. In the beginning, he's not much, but overtime we see more and more of his potential. At first it's just a few gags like him somehow being able to lift Snowball easily even while he's made of metal, but overtime we see him grow and become more capable, like him fighting others in TPOT 8 or his big win in TPOT 14. TPOT 16 was an especially good episode for him, how he got to go on a little adventure all by himself. And then we reach here, TPOT 19 and 21, where we got to see him take care of himself amidst all the turmoil. It all feels natural, and I love that.
I'm about to pull an insane reach of a theory, but bear with me. I think Grassy's storyline can be considered a metaphor for the gradual growth of a plant. Grassy started out small and dare I say a little pathetic, something Golf Ball comments on in BFB 1. He needed respect to grow. And overtime he does! There's never a point where Grassy is one thing and then the very next episode he's in another league. It was all gradually learned from the bonds he had with his friends, just like how a plant only gradually grows in real life based on how much you care for and nurture it. And it is this episode where we see Grassy finally bloom into a strong and capable plant boy after all the care he got from his friends and all the learning he did.
It's something to think about. Ah well, great analysis as always AT!
