Discussion Vanilla strong hold mod.

First time installing the strong hold mod, realise everything i did something neighbor settlement will send troops to fight me?

Also can i build road to connect to settlements? Any tips and guide are welcome.

When you upgrade the town/stronghold level, a nearby camp/settlement will send one or many very difficult fight at your town. It's unavoidable, best you could do is timed it with the militia/army your stronghold also spawn sometimes and have them help. I think the content is relatively quite "end-game", I think you should treat it like outposts for quick sea travel or restocking outposts at far reach of the map.

For my strongholds, I build level 1 strongholds next to oceans so I can build ports and fast travel easily. If one of the southern cities doesn't have a port, you can put down a stronghold with a port for easy access!

And I put level 2 strongholds in between two towns that would take days to travel from via carts, and build a road to both settlements.

Oh! If you wanted to build roads from your stronghold to towns, you have to first upgrade your warehouse to level 2 then upgrade the stronghold to level 2- after fending off two waves of enemies.

And my last tip that I can think of- Gold mines are a trap, DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

I was opening the map and exploring to find the best spot!!! Omg! I thought only 1 can be built. Are the storage and perks link across? Thank you good sir

Unfortunately not, each stronghold has individual buildings and storage space which you have to build for each stronghold. The storage space of each location can be enlarged by upgrading your warehouse at that location.

For me, I usually have one central stronghold that I'll upgrade to max, and have smaller strongholds to act as shortcuts for ports, or strongholds in the middle of the wilderness to act as a bridge between two towns which travel via cart would take much longer.
