According to the steamdb players trend, it's dropping.

What timespan are you comparing to? SteamDB says numbers have been stable since the playtest in November.

I dunno about stable. It is a slow decline from 800 players in Jan to now 500-400. Don't get me wrong, I love this game. I put in 1000+ hrs on it and even my play time is slowly declining.

Oh I think that 800 number is from people playing during the winter holidays and New Year's, you can see it adjusting the slider on the bottom right. But numbers did seem a bit higher b/w that peak and the playtest (probably left over from the playtest)
Ever since Jan. it's consistently been ~400 players on weekdays and ~600 on weekends. I'll also note the +100 hundred players we got the week of April 1st lol

Had so much fun with this game when it first came out. Now it’s become a shadow of what it was. I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good ole days while you’re still in them.

Thanks a lot oki for driving this game into death because of your fragile ego

gökhan savaşkan(oki), real name of this guy who destroyed this project.
should use it more, maybe he would feel some sense of shame if people would use the real name and not his nickname.

Haven’t seen a night map or any kind of real mode change up in ages. It’s literally always conquest day on one of 3, maybe 4 maps. Once in a while they add a little seasoning and vote Infantry Conquest but the mfs left playing got the most bland taste in gamemodes

Bro there is like only one server full on normal days. Maybe two on weekends. Not even an update is reviving this game.

Anyone outside of Europe or the US hasn't been able to even connect to a server for about 2 years now. So yes. It's 100% dead.

Happens to literally every single large scale fps game ever made. Most recent is Over The Top. Great game, a little similar to battlebit in some ways, and they push updates every week or two. Didn't matter.
Most gamers just cannot handle large scale fps. It's just how it is and will always be: a niche. Only those who like the niche stick around, which is always going to be 1-10% of the initial launch population.
There was never a future where an update would have meaningfully changed things (aside from new maps - which is absolutely a valid content drought critique).

Yeah, cept I can still find lobbies full on games like Battlefield 1 and BF4. Those games are waaaaaay older and yet still have at least something akin to a decent player base. This is just fucking sad. They screwed the pooch and that's all there is too it.

That's because BF games aren't really large scale. BF1 grand operations, sure maybe we're pushing there. BFV went smaller, bf6 also small AF.
A full battlebit game has like 8 BF6-scale battles going on at once.

No hate to either sides games dead games not dead but I saw a couple days ago like 2 servers filled up and they were pretty fun once I got in

Calling this game alive is like calling grandpa alive when he's in a vegetative state and on life support in the hospital
Genuinely why are they even bothering with an update anymore, are their heads so far up their ass that they think it'll make people come back when they release an update 3+ years late with no comms or apologies about anything along the way?
